Located in the heart of NE Portland's thriving DIY community, Modern Domestic is a fully equipped sewing studio and retail space stocked with a finely edited selection of sewing tools and notions and BERNINA accessories. We offer classes 7 days a week for all skill levels, as well as drop-in sewing by the hour; both classes and drop-in sewing include use of mid-line and entry-level sewing machines, sergers, and accessories like the BERNINA Stitch Regulator. Modern Domestic provides knowledgeable sales, service, and support for all BERNINA sewing machines and sergers. If you need help with your current sewing machine or project we provide private sewing instruction as well as service for all major machines.

Honestly MD did a fine job, they fixed it and they were honest about
what everything would cost but my machine was hardly worth the cost to
repair. I just wish they weren't so darn expensive and it took forever
to get repaired. Their repair person is not in everyday. I will say whenever I called to check on it they called me back right away. Very responsive and if I had a machine that was very expensive I would trust this place to do the repair. I wouldn't go back though with my machine.
