Price was competitive with other businesses.
I actually made a mistake going to Best Buy first and they blew the install and I got my money back.
Toyotas are squirrely when it comes to add on power systems.
Mobile West knew this and were able to accomodate. They a big enough business to have enough knowledge between employees to do anything. I was just a small guy compared to some of the stuff they were working on.

I emailed Peter  and within hours he got back, told me to come the next day(or the following) and I was there when the shop was opened.  The job was done very fast!  I was out of there within the hour of my appointed time.  Just wish I had more vehicles for them to install sound systems on!  I will surely recommend them to anyone that is in search of a honest shop>

It all went smoothly.  For them they were in the middle  of  move  to a new location, but were able to install that part  the same day!
I found them all professional and appreciative of my time.

They gave me better equipment at a lesser price. The customer service was off the chart. They were only interested in what we wanted to do. I was really impressed.

High quality install and good recommendation.  Forgot to show me how to pair my iPod though.  Had to go back and they and to set up the stereo.

There were a few workmanship issues with the installation.  First, the face plate of the navigation system came off several times over a month period of time.  I took it back three times for the repair, and the crew applied more glue each time to fasten the plate.  It ended up the forth time, the owner found out that the plate wasn't the correct one for the system (-it turned out that they initially tried to reuse an old plate but wouldn't fit in correctly-) and fasten it without any glue.  Also, there was weather strip loosen on the entire hatchback door after installing the backup camera.  Since it wasn't repairable, the entire weather strip has to be replaced at a dealership.  Also, there were a few screw caps missing after their initial installation, and they were not able to locate them.  Overall, they rushed the job, and the workmanship was poor.

I went to many retailers to purchase car audio and a remote start and security system.
 I found that none had enough knowledge to deal with my older 91 Mercedes Benz.
Some even told me there was no way to install what I needed. Peter and his Crew from Mobile West knew exactly what needed to be done and completed the work quickly without any complications.
These guys are EXPERTS Extraordinaire! I now have a up-to-date bluetooth audio system, new antenna, deluxe remote start; especially useful on cold mornings to get my car heated and warmed-up before I get in and a deluxe alarm security system that sounds an alarm and warns me if my car is being broken into or tampered with.
The other retailers I contacted fumbled through their instruction manuals; unsure of how and what to do with my Mercedes.
The Crew are caring, articulate and courteous.   If you want car audio from experts who KNOW what they are doing; the ONLY place I can recommend is Mobile West in Portland.

Install good.  Time fast,  Did not have the Steering wheel sound controller in stock and it took 4 months to get it but when the work was done it was great!

The service was great. We reviewed stereo options without any hard sell. I picked the product, went for a 40minute walk and it was done. They walked me thru the operations of the stereo. It was very simple, quick and thorough.

Went in for a car alarm on my older (1999) Acura Integra. There were cheaper alarm systems available, but I updated to a more expensive fancier one because it includes remote start (really nice on those icy mornings!) I am estimating the cost from memory, I think it was around $400.00 something. I was really pleased at how fast they were able to get the job done, I went in, arranged the deal, and then dropped my car off the next day and picked it up the day after that. They let me use a loaner car too. The work seems quality. My only criticism would be not with Mobile West per se but with the manufacturer of the alarm; the instructions provided with the system are very cursory and leave you scratching your head. I had to figure out some of the functions by trial and error. Now the people at MW were very helpful about explaining stuff when I first got the system so maybe I could have just called them up and asked.

I brought in a radio/CD player, along with an insult kit that I found on the web. They have a set price for installing radios that they do not sell on premises. They did a great job installing it, and the radio works beautifully. I would recommend them and use them again. However be prepared for small sales pitch looking for ways to upgrade your system, which is to be expected.

The person who answered the phone was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable.  They were able to get me in the day I called, which I did not expect.  I was planning on buying a lower-end model, but they talked me into a more expensive one, which I think was a good choice.  The owner and staff were very friendly, and I would have given them an A, except for a couple things that happened at the end.  First, when I started to drive away, a "check airbag" light came on.  I immediately drove back, and was lucky they were still there, as it was closing time.  They were able to turn off the light, which I appreciated.  However, the mechanic told me that these lights have to be reset in this model, which led me to believe he knew this and should have done it to begin with, or at least warned me about it.  Later, I noticed that several wires were partly exposed, which I had to tuck into the car frame.  There were also a bunch of wires showing under the passenger side dashboard that I had to tape up with electrical tape.  I feel like they should have done this already.

I treated myself to a "once in a lifetime" car, but one that is plagued by thieves.  Having had two cars stolen in Portland and experienced the police incompetence (can they really care about a mere car theft when they are undercut on all sides?  I don't blame them) I knew that my car's security was my own responsibility.
I went to the top of Angie's List, found these guys and called them.  They brought me in the next day to install a top rated auto security system.  It took most of the day, which gave me opportunity to watch them deal with different cars and customers, and I came away with high opinions of their professionalism, concern for customers' actual needs, and general ethics.

I watched customers come in essentially laying themselves open for anything, but the Mobile West guys led them to less expensive systems that did everything the customer wanted.  When individual cars presented unique problems, the crew pooled their skills to solve them to the best of the customers' interests.  It was inspiring and confidence building.
And, I'm delighted with the system they put in my car, which keeps me advised of the car's status through my smart phone.

Fantastic! Salesman made great recommendations for an audiophile. Got a great deal. Radio was installed the same day.

I brought my 2004 Corvette to Mobile West to upgrade the sound system. I had shopped the unit at several locations and found the costs a little higher but acceptably comparable to many of the high volume stores that sell car audio electronics. Peter had a great deal of knowledge about both the product and the installation. He gave me a menu of add-ons to build the system from the basic audio unit through a full system inclusive of speakers and amps. The estimate was staged so I could pick the price and continue the upgrade at a later date.

Peter quickly determined that a 7" audio unit would not fit into a 2004 Corvette without modifications to the console. This would require enlarging the existing opening then rebuilding the console with fiberglass and bondo. Since this would require several days of fabricating. Peter tossed me the keys to a loaner car and told me he'd call when it was ready.

Four days later I got my car back. What an absolutely incredible job they did! The fabrication work on the console was perfect. Everything matched and was contoured so well you can't tell any modifications were ever made. It literally looked like a factory install. The stereo was tuned to perfection and before I left I was given a complete demo of all the features of my new system. Finally, I was told that any problems, retuning, or retraining on the unit's operation was as simple as dropping by their store.

I must say that I would have never entrusted the console fabrication of my precious Corvette to any of the high volume audio stores that offer installation. The old saying, "you get what you pay for" certainly applied here. The customer service, professionalism, and cooperation I received was more than worth the couple of hundred dollars I might have saved from a high volume store.

I went in to Mobile West on my brother's recommendation and was glad I did.  It was nice to work with a small shop whose employees are salaried, as opposed to one of the big stores who are all on commission.  I had a basic idea of what I wanted in a car stereo and what I could afford to spend, and I felt that the salesman was very knowledgeable, fair, and helpful.  He was not pushy at all.  I was able to select a stereo and have it installed within just over an hour.  It was great!  They have a comfortable waiting area with outlets for laptops and free wi-fi.  When the car was ready, the installation tech did an excellent job of walking me through how to use the new stereo.  I was impressed that everyone at the shop was a good communicator.  Would highly recommend!

Same day installation and quick. everything worked well until the alarm stopped. All I had to do was swing by they immediately made an adjustment and everything works great. Very friendly and they allowed me to look around without any pressure. They answered my questions and I did not feel pressured to buy UP like in other car audio shops. Thanks a bunch guys!
