I have a double garage door that came off its track, and would no longer function. Metro provided great service; they were able to schedule someone the next day to come evaluate the problem. The technician they sent out (sorry I forgot his name, this was a couple of months ago) was very helpful and knowledgeable about diagnosing the cause and recommended a cost effective solution to get it operating again. I would definitely use Metro again.

It went well. Michael was competent and creative. The service call was to attach the sensors which kept falling off. He did much more, including removing the "smile" at the bottom of the wood double size garage door. This was a pleasant surprise since other companies had previously said there was no easy fix other than replacing the door.

aThe representative for Metro arrived and I greeted him at the door. I apologized for the inconvenience to him because it was Mother's Day but he neither commented or acknowledge what I said. He simply said he needed to get into the garage. I sensed that he was upset just being there and initially felt sorry for causing problems even though it was the business he was in. He had me assist him while he opened the door. He then went out to the truck and I went back into the house to let him work. Within a half hour he contacted me and said he was finished. He told me that he had the proper spring for our door but he did a "temporary fix" because he did not have oxygen on the truck to cut the spring down to the proper size. He didn't explain what the fix was but after I left I got on a ladder to discover that his fix was a bracket that connected the broken pieces of the spring together. Before he left I asked him how long the temporary fix would last? He said it would last long enough until the office could contact me on Monday to set up an appointment to come out and complete the repair. I then asked him again how many times can we safely open the door with his "fix" and he said it might last 1 or 50 times. Very comforting information when it comes to a double wide steel door falling on our cars or a member of the family. He presented me with the bill and I paid the entire cost by VISA. He gave me a receipt and his last comment was "someone will be in touch." With that he got in his truck and left. I can understand his being upset and possibly disrupting a celebration with his mother and/or family. However, when on call for a business I expect the same sort of respect and attitude during off hours as I do normal business hours. I am a retired veteran as well as a retired member of a law enforcement agency and businessman. I refuse to tolerate a vendor whose employees are insolent, disrespectful and too lazy to do a job properly. I will not use, nor recommend, this vendor to anyone in the future.

The garage door is high end made of metal with composite overlay to look like carriage door. There was a small crack in one area. They ordered a new panel and splicing it into the entire door didn't go well. They immediately ordered an entire new door. They did a nice job, they were professional and their prices beat other vendors for the same door. I forget names but everyone from sales to install at the company were very nice and helpful.

The company helped diagnose the problem with the old system and suggested replacing it. The contractor arrived on time, installed the system and explained how the new system operates. He was friendly and helpful.

They didn't try to talk me into having a new lifter or anything. They adjusted the old one and it works fine now. When the old one goes out I plan on calling them back to replace. I called a couple of other places as well to get quotes on new lifters and Metro had a more economical quote than the others.

WE NEEDED TO HAVE OUR GARAGE DOOR FIXED, SO WE CALLED THEM, AND THEY CAME OVER AND FIXED IT IN A TIMELY MANNER. THEY WERE RESPONSIVE. THEY WERE GREAT, AND PROFESSIONAL.
