Most of the crew was good but one of the workers was not very good and she broke a mirror and another item in my home.

We have utilized the services of Mess Maid Right NW for approximately 2 years in the cleaning of rental homes. We have been so pleased with their service that they are the exclusive service that we use now. As best I remember we have never had to call them back a single time to re-clean or tend to something that was missed. The other impressive thing is that often, after the team has completed the cleaning assignment, a supervisor will show up an hour or two after the job to inspect the work. Their rates are fair. Another plus, at least in our experience, is that at least one of the same team members is always on the job, that is, it is not a totally different team each time. In the rental business we occasionally have an exceptionally dirty home to be cleaned and, although there may be an extra charge, the results are always the same..excellent!

In fairness to Mess Maid Right:  I'm writing this review over a year late, and I think we may have just had a difference of opinion - I am not a professional cleaner.  After looking around, the woman who came (very nice, enthusiastic and professional) said that quite honestly the depth / breadth of cleaning I was asking for was not going to fit into the 4 hrs my coupon rate covered; would I like to pay for more hours?  I was not too surprised, I believe she was being totally honest, she was just one person.  So I paid for an extra 2 hours.  I had to go out for much of this time, and came back right as she was leaving (right at 6 hours).  She implied that she had done everything I had asked for, and I didn't bother to check it out very thoroughly...but as soon as I started looking around it was clear that there was a lot left undone: all the cupboards  (tops) in the kitchen were still covered with dust, my second bathroom floor was vacuumed but not mopped, and there were still a lot of surfaces left undusted in general.  What she did clean looked great, but 1) I had specifically asked about those areas, and 2) she was only cleaning the upstairs of an 1800 sq ft house, and didn't have to do much "picking up" at all, I had most things put away and asked her to just clean around/push aside the rest - it just seems to me that she could have done these last few (to me very important) areas.

They were punctual, efficient and brought 3 people to do the job quickly.  I prepared my house for "renters" and Mess Maid put the finishing touches on it by making it squeaky clean.

They did a fine job cleaning. Had three women that came in time and were very polite and thorough. Only hitch was that one of the cleaners put hot water on a refridgerator shelf and broke it. They sent me a check for the cost of a replacement once I found one. All good in the end.

The crew was punctual, well equipped, professional and extremely pleasant.  They did a great job of de-greasing, de-cobwebbing, dusting, sweeping, and wiping down the whole place.  The kitchen and bathroom were of particular concern and the team did a thorough job.
I would gladly hire them again!

I had the company out to perform the service for the big deal.  I wasn't 100% happy with the service overall due all the additional charges for the service.

However, in those six man hours, they got two and a half baths cleaned and swept the floors.  They were nice but the job was no better than I can do on my own. My neighbor had the same service, different company and it was exceptionally clean.

I'm not sure if he ever cleaned a carpet before. Stains did not come out but actually seemed worse after he left. I really don't know how he got on Angie's List. I'm embarrassed to have people see the carpet after he was finished. I will NEVER use him again. My husband had him come back to repair the water stains on the dining room table. We had to furnish the proper wax for him to use. He had to work very hard to get the approval of my husband before he gave him the ok to leave. My husband had him repair the spots on the rug that seemed to appear the next day but I'm still not happy with this company.

He came at the wrong time. He was like two hours late because he took longer at one place then what he was supposed to and so he was rushed. I feel that he just didn't do a very good job. There were soiled spots left from his machine after he picked it up and was gone, but of course I didn't come out here until a little bit later. The rubber fitting was loose on the rubber mat kind of thing that looked sort of like a rake that he was trying to suck the water up with and work in the carpet, so it would bend over on one side. It was just not good equipment being used. The way he explained it was that his other machine was broken down so he had to use this old one while that one was being repaired. It was very obvious why they had bought a new machine because this one was just not good. I was very irritated that I had to pay money for such a lousy job and then had to have another company come out and clean up the mess they left. The job was so poorly done that I just didn't feel like I even wanted to mess with them again. The price was way too expensive for the product I got, but if they did a good job it would've been reasonable. The price was comfortable to other companies, but it just wasn't a bargain. The man did everything that he was supposed to, but the equipment was faulty. He went back over and over again where some of the spots were, but because of the equipment he was unsuccessful. When he was emptying the water out of the tubing and stuff outside he left the machine sitting on my carpet before he took it because he didn't want to sit it on the inlaid platform that I have when you come in. He left through the front door and I didn't get up because I'm handicap, so he let himself out and it was a little bit later that I went into the living room and saw like sooty stuff on the carpet where the machine had been sitting. He was gone and it was after dark by the time he finished. He didn't get here until a quarter to 6:00 and he was supposed to be here between 2:00 and 4:00. He cut down on the amount of time he normally would've used because it was late. It was 7:30 or so and he had to be somewhere. He was a nice man. He was very professional, very polite and did all the things right. Anything that I asked him to go back and do he did it. I thought he stuck to business and he didn't spend extra time doing things. He didn't bother around or talk all the time or wonder around my house. He did everything the way he was supposed to. The only problem I have is that he didn't go back and look to see where the machine was sitting. It was a great big bulky thing and he just picked it up from the platform, so he couldn't see underneath it because it was in the way. Unfortunately he didn't see it, but I'm sure he would've said something about it. I wouldn't use him again or recommend him. The whole experience was a negative one and it's the only bad experience I've had from any of the deals I've bought or any of the people from Angie's List that I've used.

To Mess Maid Right NW:
We had arranged with your office for four
or six person-hours at the advertised Angie's List "Big Deal" rate. This
was in preparation for a big party which happened last night so we are
only now getting around to our comments.  My  husband  was told that
four hours should be enough for the work described but that if we
decided we needed six, that it could be provided as the same hourly
rate.  Your two men, Hans and Dave, came at about 8:30 a.m.  At the end
of two hours, little if any work had been done in the front of the house
and he wanted them to finish but they said they had to get to another
job.
I had a list ready, which I read aloud to them.  I doubt if they
understood more than a couple of words.  As far as we could tell, they
didn't read the list themselves.  While they listened attentively to our
instructions and questions about their work procedures, they seemed
unable to vocalize a clear response. One of them didn't recognize the
English word for bathtub.  I had to point out the tub.

We wanted a thorough cleaning: kitchen and bathroom walls, outside
of cabinets and refrigerator, woodwork and baseboards all over the
house, and cleaning of furniture.  Unfortunately, I had to leave for a
dentist appointment at 9:30 and by the time I returned they had left.
Chuck, My husband, told them they had done a satisfactory job.  He soon
changed his mind and regretted his approval after both of us took a
closer look.

Here's what they did:  cleaned the outside of the refrigerator,
cleaned the toilet, tub, and sink in the bathroom. Vacuumed the upstairs
bedroom rug and floor and the steps, cleaning the risers as requested.
Made the bed (!)  Vacuumed and dusted  the music/guest room.  Wiped
most of the kitchen cabinet surfaces. One of them took a long time time
cleaning the kitchen stove top, which we did not ask to have done and which took time away from the items on our list.
Here  are a few examples of what they didn't do.
The grimy
woodwork around doorknobs remained untouched.  The top of the bathroom
cabinets and shower, likewise. They left cobwebs on the bathroom walls,
dirty finger marks on the bathroom cabinets, and dusty walls in many
places.  As far as we can see, they never moved furniture.  Many
baseboards, the floor in the dining room were dusty and dirty and had
clearly not been touched.  They may have briefly dusted the furniture in
the living room, but I later spent a fair amount of time with rags and
lemon oil removing smears from every piece of furniture in living and
dining rooms, and in our music/guest room.   The hurried mopping they
did of the kitchen floor left the floor streaked.
To sum up, the word "clean" may be an imprecise term to someone who
barely understands English.  Perhaps if these workers had been teamed
with a fluent English speaker communication would have been clearer and
the quality of their work would not have been subject to criticism.
These were personable men and they may have believed they were doing
what they were instructed to do.
By the way, one of them left his coat.

Cleaned carpets in two rooms.  Couldn't get stains out of carpet, but worse is that they dumped their dirty water in all my showers and all my toilets and left all of them filthy.  I had to hire a cleaning lady to come in and clean up after them.

We got a big deal for $99.  My wife set it up and I really don't know what she did.  The guy did a good job.  He tried hard as we had some unusual staining that he worked hard on.  He wasn't able to do anything with it, but he did try.
