"I contacted client immediately on 4/28/15 stating I would like to meet him at property to look at the items & make repairs to his satisfaction. He declined this offer & only wanted to communication thru Angie's List process. After a couple of emails requesting factual/correct information from the client, he chooses not to comply & provided only miss leading information. To mediate I had had to fill out "Angie's List Service Provider Complaint Resolution Form" and attached 37 pages of documents, including 7 pages of explained, proposal contracts, invoices, statements & facts regarding client's complaints. By law I have 1st right to remedy to claim. Many of his comments were derogatory & false not to mention he filed this complaint almost a year after work was completed approx. 7/8/14 and he completed a final walk thru with me & paid for job in full. It's hard validating all the items he mentioned considering he waited so long to comment or contact someone."
They are all great absolutely. They are wonderful. It's always great. We've used them many times before. We've always had good service. It's very inexpensive and it's on time.
"(Member name removed) It would have been nice if you contacted me (Marks Construction) regarding the issue with your roof. After reviewing my files, I have it noted that you hired a different company to do the roof on your home. I would hope that you still have your invoice from that company. If you do not please contact me so I can provide you with some information since I do not feel it is my responsibility to investigate or make negative comments based on another company that may be at fault. I have 4 invoices for the work I completed on your home dated 8/2/2007 #1324, 9/12/2007 #1336, 12/22/2007 #1389, and 5/9/2008 #1440. My company was contracted to do the siding work, paint the exterior, have new carpet installed, not the roof. On the invoice #1440 which was completed in May 2008 it states the following (touch up paint from roofers). I have a copy of a email that is dated 4/16/08 & 4/28/08 that states you are going to have another company do the roof, which was approx. 7 months after the siding was installed. To the best of my knowledge I didn’t even give you a proposal on doing the roof. In hindsight, I wish you would of contacted me directly before making your comments on Angie's List 4/30/14. I have been in business since 1997 and regard customer service is number one priority and would have gladly discussed this issue in detail to figure out the facts. I would appreciate your consideration by revising your derogative comments about my company considering I am still in business and feel you did not approach this matter effectively."
Mark is scheduled to clean and apply an oil treatment to all the new decks, fences and wooden walls next year when the weather is good. That had been planned for October this year but as agreed, was postponed due to Mark being involved in a car accident.
We expect to ask Mark to quote us for two other remodeling projects next year:
1) increase in size of kitchen and fitting of new kitchen units, work tops, sink and faucet etc.
2) creation and fitting out of a en-suite shower room/WC from the main bedroom
We highly recommend Mark and it was a pleasure to have Mark and his team at our house.
"[removed member name] i think you have the wrong marks construction. I dont remember this job and its not in my data base"
Its quite another when a year later a minor problem develops and the contractor
takes complete care of you and goes out of his way to make sure the repair is more than a repair and is just like new!
I am a somewhat distrustful ex-new yorker who can assure you that based on my experiences with mark's construction you
are assured of dealing with a business that will make sure you are completely satisfied
Mark and his crew are an example of a classy operation that I look forward to
doing business with again
Thank you for a first rate job!!!!!
Mark always followed up-returned calls quickly
had to wait as he wanted to do it on a dry day-made total sense
was responsive to all my concerns
paint went quickly and very well
gave me second lowest bid
was well wroth what i paid
He worked with two young men who were great-but be clear mark was here the whole time and was totally involved in all the work
If the siding holds up as welll as i have been told i will be thrilled
It's been over a year since the work was done, and the garage looks just as good as the day he finished. I should add that we've never worked with any other contractor on a job of this size who always made a point of being there at appointed times or else calling to explain why not, and letting you know when exactly to expect him. The whole job--reframing, plywood siding, Tyvek, cedar siding over all that, and painting--took about 10 days. We subsequently called him back to put in a bathroom fan. A tiny job, yes, but the job was done and cleaned up completely within an hour. And yes, he showed up exactly when he said he would and charged exactly what he had bid for that job, too.
