Went well, took longer than expected and had some minor glitches but is working as designed

I've used them for several years and everything has been great, however, my experience last October wasn't very good. They made a few mistakes, which they corrected in the end, but they had to come back about three times to fix everything. I wish they had taken a little more time to find the problem the first time and I also wish they had taken a little more care during the job. I will still use them as this is not my usual experience with this company.

Problem promptly diagnosed and repaired. No problems since.

Labor time 1.5 hours. Labor r ate was $120/hr and price for replacement relief valve exceeded $150.

I scheduled a technician from Larry and Chuck's to come perform annual boiler maintenance on a boiler they installed a few years ago. He was generally able to answer my questions about the operation of the system (I'm fairly new to boilers and cast iron radiators), although my subsequent reading about how to make the system more efficient leads me to believe that he is not really that well informed. The inspection went well, and he ran the system for a few minutes to check pressure and bleed the radiators. During the inspection, he found one part that needed to be replaced, which he happened to have on his truck. When I received the bill, labor was as expected, $125/hr plus truck charge. The tiny part, however, was billed at almost $100 - I was shocked to look up this part online and find that it sells for $20. I plan to use them again in the future, but I will be very firm about pricing of parts and materials, to avoid the price gouging I experienced here.

Went very well. Technician was on time, thorough, and cleaned up very well.

My radiant heat system is in the ceiling--hot water pipes in plaster. Joe came out the day I called and assessed the situation, then returned the next day with parts to fix it. He had to drain the system, install a drain valve (?) for that particular zone (absent before), solder the small hole, and then re-fill the system. He was so fast. He knew I was very concerned about the cost after a botched (and expensive) "repair" with another company the week prior, and he worked very quickly to get it repaired correctly and at the lowest possible cost to me. He promised me multiple times that he would do it and do it correctly. He reassured me that if it didn't work he'd be back on his own time. Not an issue. He did a great job.

I called Larry and Chucks because the original Larry who founded the company many years ago owned our home from 1960 - 2002 and installed the heating system. Tim now owns the company, and they did an excellent job. Prompt and friendly service, and a knowledgeable technician. They really know their stuff.

I have used this company for several years. They respond quickly, especially if you have no heat. The service technician, Craig, was on time and very pleasant. The price this time seemed high.
