+ -1 moreI brought several batches of samples to test as we discovered more questionable material in our house remodel. Every time the process was quick, with complete results emailed in 4-6 hours. They were very organized and prompt, and if we find anything else that needs testing, I will use this lab, no question. $50 per sample to know what I'm dealing with is totally worth every penny.
Description of Work: Testing samples of flooring, wallboard, plaster, and insulation for asbestos.

+ -1 moreI had thought the testing would take at least a few days.....At approximately 10:00 am I dropped off my three flooring samples and I received my test results via e-mail less than 4 hours later!
Description of Work: Tested flooring samples. I recently purchased an older home with hardwood floors under carpets. I was surprised to find that the hardwood floors in two of the bedrooms and the upstairs hallway were covered with linoleum/vinyl flooring in addition to the carpet. Luckily I received some good advice and had the floor covering tested before I went ahead and scraped it off myself. I had three separate types of flooding to be tested.

+ -1 moreI'm about to go into a remodel that I am doing myself and I wanted to know what I am dealing with. I'm not from around here originally, so I have no idea what has asbestos or not and it was recommended that I find out before I start digging into my walls. I contacted LabCor. They were pleasant on the phone and directed me what to do with my samples. I went down and they got me in and out quickly. It was $50/sample and the results are very quickly turned around. I would use them again!
Description of Work: They tested some cotton batting and plaster samples for me for asbestos.

Description of Work: Tested 3 layers of flooring for $50 and determined they did not contain asbestos. Yay! Also provided helpful information about timelines when flooring was likely to have asbestos before we even brought in the sample.

+ -1 moreIt all went extremely well, particularly the outcome. Labcor received the sample near 3:00 on a Friday afternoon and had the report to me by 4:30, which I really appreciated. They were professional, polite, and very responsive. I did give a "B" for price because I thought $50 was a bit high, but in truth I haven't called around so maybe it's a standard price for this kind of analysis. In any case, Labcor was excellent in all other regards and I'd highly recommend them for analysis and testing work.
Description of Work: I brought in a small sample of material for asbestos testing. The material came from a "popcorn" ceiling finish in my home. Lab/Cor tested the material and within an hour and a half had called me to report the sample was negative. They also sent out a written report by email at the same time.

+ -1 moreGood experience. I got my results back in less than 2 hours after drop off. I don't know how the price compares but I didn't want to drive all over town. Process was quick and easy. (I just wish I could say the same for the remodel itself...)
Description of Work: I submitted a sample of plaster wall and a sample of flooring (multiple layers) from my 1892 house in preparation for a demo and remodel. Lab Cor screened all layers for asbestos and sent me an analysis.
