We used the furniture for four years before noticing that the foam was disintegrating. Every time we moved the furniture we could find piles of this stuff on the floor. Here just a month ago one of the reclining sections broke. We will be purchasing new furniture from a different company.

In 2004, my husband and I purchased our first couch, we were so excited to have furniture. Our house is old, so were remodeling our house and we had only finished the front room, and still had lots of other work to do. As a result of this, we didn't sit on our couch hardly at all. We were either at work or working on the house, which caused us to cover the couch with a tarp. Just last year(June 2007)we started sitting on our couch for more than an hour. The fabric for the cushions are/were not sewn correctly and the fabric has unraveled, which has caused the fabric to separate in the lower cushions. There is no zig zag stitch on the fabric, just your basic one straight stitch, so the other cushions will separate. My parents purchased your basic couch and chair at basic furniture store(discount)and they have had their furniture for 25 years, 4 grown kids and their is no separation of fabric. We are now looking at having new fabric put on, in addition to purchasing an additional set for our basement. We will not be going back to La-Z-Boy Furniture. My husband is a designer/architect he will not bring clients to purchase their furniture. Their are a lot of other great stores out their that I know their furniture will last more than 4 years. I would have rather have paid double some where else for a better product. I don't know about you but I don't want to purchase a couch every 3-5 years. What happened to quality and customer service?

I THOUGHT THE PRICE WAS TOO HIGH, AND I THOUGHT THE GUY WAS A JERK. I THOUGHT HE DIDN'T TAKE ENOUGH TIME TO MAKE SURE THERE WERE NO OTHER PROBLEMS THAT I MAY HAVE FOUND.
