Kuhnhausen's Furniture Showcase

I cannot recommend them highly enough and will purchase from them in the future.

I had shopped at a number of large furniture chains and while I was happy with the June Sale prices I wasn't happy with the quality of the furniture.  I finally checked out this small family run furniture store (been here since 1919) and found what I was looking for.  While their prices were a few hundred dollars above the other quotes, the quality of the furniture was much better. Example, the width of the drawers are 1/4" instead of the standard 1/8".  The manufacturer of the furniture I chose was Whittier made in Eugene, OR which made me feel good about buying local. Their delivery price ($45) was also about half of the other stores in town.  I can't wait to get my new furniture delivered.

Kuhnhausen's was wonderful all the way through. Jan Stewart was very helpful and lovely to work with. The piece came during the expected time frame. Kuhnhausen's hadn't had this piece before and a Hooker representative came out to show them how to make adjustments to the rotating bookcase/TV area. The movers practiced moving the very heavy piece in the warehouse, which made delivery go very smoothly. What a wonderful company. Would use them every chance we get!

I worked with Jan Stewart in buying this beautiful piece. She took into consideration the other wood that I had in my room, made other options available, and offered to deliver the piece for free to southeast Portland. They are kind and professional. They will order or sell from the floor. They were very friendly. She sent along a clock I had been admiring to see if I liked it in my home and followed up to see if we wanted to purchase it- we decided to keep it. They offer a wide selection and they are a small family business. I would highly recommend them.
