Karen was great. She gave me ideas for furniture placement and colors. I would definitely recommend her.

Overall it went well. Good guidance on picking items out for our style (contemporary). Very good carpenter and electrician subcontractors. Fair painters. Sometimes there were long delays on sourcing.

Extremely well. Karen was extremely helpful in getting us the right color for our project. She was available during the painting process to answer questions regarding what color to paint the trim, foundation, etc. Karen is an absolute pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend her.

She was very efficient, knew the materials well. The price was right and I recommend her to everyone and very pleasant to deal with.

She was wonderful to work with! A great listener, I never felt like I was getting the ideas or outcome that were her preference, but instead she was helping us achieve what we wanted for our home. She was patient, helpful, fun and very flexible. I would recommend her to my closest friends and family - just outstanding.

Karen was an excellent listener and really made our vision come to life. She designed a kitchen that's not only beautiful, but functional. She had great ideas to maximize our space, and I love her taste! She saved the day with her cabinet contact after another bid came in way over budget. Karen also helped us with furniture selection/placement and we couldn't be more pleased with the way our home came together!

Karen provided expert advice, she helped us pick out our counter tops, sinks, back splashes, floor tiles, lighting fixtures and paint colors for an overall modern, updated look. The end result exceeded our expectations.

It went very well. We met with an associate who gave us validation for some of our plans and new ideas about others. We have since implemented several of her suggestions.

Karen was able to meet with me soon after I contacted her. She came to the house to see what I wanted. The next week we met at a fabric store to select fabric for the bedspread, sheets, pillows. We also selected fabric for my upholstered bed and a chaise lounge. We found a gorgeous mirrored dresser too. She later helped me get my room painted, after helping select the color, and getting me new carpet. She came to my home with the fabric swatches and carpet samples and color swatches. She was always punctual and on top of everything. Her taste is fantastic. She clearly loves what she does. The entire process took around 6 months (time for furniture to arrive, carpet laid, etc). The room looks unbelievable. When I sit in it, I cannot believe this is the same room. I hosted a Fourth of July party this weekend and brought every female attendee up to see my room. They were so impressed.

Karen reviewed the flow of the house, the lighting, the potential changes I could make but really took the time to understand what I did and didnt like about the house and was very supportive.  We picked interior color and she even recommended painters. I will call her as soon as I am ready to decorate!

Great - got lots of ideas

Karen's first endearing quality was that she listened.  She asked us what we wanted our home to be like and how we wanted to feel in our home.  She listened to our budget.  She started with a home consultation, where we talked about pulling things together and redecorating our living room, front room, kid's bedroom and kitchen.  Her ability and eye to see how to rearrange and integrate the things you have, help you keep what you think-- is special.  Karen changed our house into a home, where it feels like a warm place.  Our friends compliment us and have told us that the designer was perfect at making our place nicer while keeping it about our vision, too.  I might add that Karen respects financial limits and really knows how to stretch your budget for maximum impact.  ALSO- we love her!  She's a delight to work with, and we will be hiring her to help us re-do our guest room and bonus room.  I trust her vision.
In more detail, Karen convinced us to paint.  We were not inclined to do it, and there was nothing in it for her, but she picked new colors and we started by everything looking crisp.  She was right in telling us that it was a huge part of the puzzle.  Then, she listened to me and my wife bicker for a while about what we wanted and understood how to translate that into something concrete.  When it came to decorating, she brought a ton of stuff to the house, much of it intended to return, but the stuff that we kept was perfect.  She came with hammer and nails and hung stuff.  She took some of our cool stuff and showcased it rather than telling us to put it away.  
Frankly, I was overwhelmed by this project, but Karen made it easy and pleasant.  Every day, we enjoy the fruits of her labor and creativity and we are glad we found her.  (We found her right here!)
