The repairman came out and repaired the problem with the overheating, but then all sound stopped working.  No alarm, timer, beep to let me know the temperature had been reached, etc.  I pointed that out to him while he was still there, and he told me to just get a timer and put it on the counter.  Finally, we had to reschedule.  He was a no show three times in a row with no call, and I was taking time off from work to be there.  In the meantime, my short warranty time was ticking down.  He finally showed up with a bunch of parts and "fixed" the stove again.  This time, the burners didn't work right.  I asked him why he had a basket of parts from other kinds of ranges, and he said that the part I needed was too expensive.  I filed a complaint with the Attorney General's office.  Kaady's bought the part, and the repairperson came back out.  He put it in, but he couldn't get the stove to work.  I was going to hand him the directions when I realized that he had forgotten some pieces in the box.  I gave him the rest of the parts, and the directions.  By now I was very late for returning to work.  The stove and oven heated, and I signed the paper of satisfaction, and he left.  My warranty was over and I was relieved.  When I got home, I found that my burners and oven heated, but were very slow to heat.  They never turn red, and I have to cook everything on high.  It takes 45 minutes to boil an egg, if I have it on high and keep the lid on.  I can't broil anything.  So I'm going to have to hire someone to refix the repair.

My wife and father in law bought the dishwasher and got a discount by performing the delivery. I attempted to install the dishwasher but found the drainline missing and the drain outlet at the back of the dishwasher damaged. I called and they said they would send out a service guy the next day. Up to this point everything was fine. The next day the service guy said he wouldn't be out until the following day. I called back and told them I was returning the dishwasher. Then the service guy called me back and told me " i thought we had an understanding". He came out shortly after that and pronounced the dishwasher drain outlet sound and gave me the drainline. Long story short, he was wrong, i had to find a replacment part and perform the repair myself.

Just wanted to update my report. I went back to the store with the defective part and explained everything. They apologised for their mistake and refunded $40. Not great but OK.

I have had nothing but outstanding experiences with them. If you have an issue, they respond quickly and Michael, their home repair technician is excellent, very knowledgeable,courteous and prompt. Abe is one of the owners and a great guy to do business with. I find him to be the most customer friendly and responsive of all the sales people. Beware of other used appliance places as most of them are rip offs. Kaady's gives a warranty with every appliance it sells and stands behind it. Based on my experience,they're the only place to buy a refurbished or floor model appliance in Portland.

During the heat wave, my old fridge stopped working and I needed to replace it right away. I didn't want to shop in the heat, so I called around and reached a salesperson, Sam, at Kaady's Appliances. I described what model and features I wanted and he told me they had one in stock and could deliver it the next morning. Sam was very cheerful and pleasant to talk to. He said that he didn't need a credit card number over the phone; I could look at the fridge while it was still on the truck and if I wanted it, the men would install it and I could simply give them a check. I had to delay the delivery for two days, but that was no problem. On the day of the delivery, the delivery men were punctual, pleasant and helpful. They installed the new fridge and took my old one away. Shortly after turning the new fridge on, I noticed a malfunction and called the company. They sent their repair man out immediately and he made a minor adjustment. Since then the new fridge works perfectly!

With much relief I plugged it in. I waited a few hours and came back to check how cold it was and imagine my disappointment when I realized it didn't even work! It never got even a bit chilly inside. I pulled it away from the wall (like I know what I am looking for, yea right!) But oddly enough, even I could see the major problem, dripping on my floor was the coolant. Now we have 2 appliances with repair needs from them. I was pleased when we purchased the appliances and felt VERY comfortable that if there was a problem, they would come right out and fix it, no hassles. Now that they have my money, the great customer service is gone. My partner and I have called 4 times, I left a message on the machine (call never returned) and we have spoken to someone who said they would need to talk to the boss and get back to us (2X) and one person said that they would call on Thurs 9/7 to set up a time to come out. No call. I am VERY frustrated, and feel that they are being evasive.
