Joe and his crew were professional, prompt, courteous and patient throughout the whole process. Communication was excellent. Petra the designer was very helpful in choosing a palette. They were attentive to all the details and wanted to ensure I was satisfied. Joe went the extra mile and coordinated with the contractor that did the seismic work that I had completed at the same time. There are likely lower priced siding contractors out there but the quality, integrity and ease with which it was to work with Joe and his crew was definitely worth it and the work was done right the first time! We hired Joe for our exterior remodel and could not have been happier with the result. Joe was super responsive and professional throughout the project. We ran into a few glitches here and there but he was always on the phone and in most cases on site within 24 hours. He was respectful, forthright, and communicative. The siding crew was great - cleaned up every day, checked in with us when they saw us, worked long hours to get the job done. The painting crew was a bit less clean in terms of the site, but we understand there were some new painters on the crew. When the old siding came off the front porch and we saw that it was "under engineered" Joe was great in terms of giving us options from a shoring up to a full rebuild. We went with the rebuild, which complicated the timing and crews a bit and slowed things down. The carpenter on the porch was great as well. In the end we were very satisfied with the job and with Joe and company (despite the porch throwing everything off by months).

The exposed cedar lap siding on my chimney chase had deteriorated over 35 years and needed to be replaced. After checking online reviews, I got a few bids for the job. Pricing was very similar. I selected Joseph Ketner Construction because Joe responded in a timely manner, came out to look at the chimney, explained in detail what should be done, and returned at a later date to explain his bid personally. I could tell he has a commitment to quality work. To prevent insect and moisture intrusion, Joe recommended changing the way the old siding was attached. When I was ready to start the project, his office manager Petra was in frequent contact. The first work date set was not within my requested time frame, but they moved it up. The day Joe and his crew came, rain was forecast in the afternoon which would not be good for applying two coats of paint on the boards. They agreed to postpone starting until the next day which was to be sunny. Joe had Lakeside Lumber deliver materials including pre-primed tight knot cedar siding, a very close match to my old siding. His crew took my leftover house paint and had an exact match mixed. Armando, Jay and Jerry came the next day and worked diligently. Armando said he has been working with Joe for ten years. I was surprised at how quiet and neat they were. The first coat of paint was applied in the morning to all the pre-primed boards as they lay on the protected driveway. The second coat was applied in the afternoon as the boards were placed on the chimney chase. They used new step flashing between the roof and the chimney and left the recommended gap between the boards and the roof. They also patched and painted a couple of bad spots in barge rafters. They cleaned up meticulously. The chimney chase looks great, and is sealed better than the original. I would definitely hire Joseph Ketner Construction for a future project.

I chose Joseph Ketner Construction after doing a lot of research and reading multiple reviews, and I'm glad I did. From the bidding process to the final painting and inspection, everything went smoothly. Armando and his crew did an excellent job with the HardiePlank siding, and they were very pleasant to work with, taking into account my schedule and the needs of my pets. They were punctual, detail oriented, and cleaned up the area everyday. There were no hidden costs as I was informed I had an area of dry rot that needed repair, and I was shown the area and given an estimate on the additional work prior to the repair. I also had gutter guards and a new front door installed and the work was of the highest quality. My house looks brand new!

Joe and his team looked over the existing damage, made suggestions about the best approach and worked with us to adjust the scope of work to fit within our budget. He was prompt to respond to our questions and thorough in his approach to address existing and potential areas of water damage. His team was very professional in dealing with our tenants and extremely easy to work with when it came to scheduling. I read a number of reviews and looked at several different contractors prior to hiring Ketner Construction. I almost couldn't believe how much his clients raved about him but now I feel the same way. It's certainly refreshing to deal with a company that exceeds expectations.

Joe and the whole team were a dream to work with. The workmanship was technically and aesthetically perfect, and the crew was great at communicating with us throughout the process (inc: providing itemized bids, consistent check-ins from both the workers and the office, and dealing with all the odd things our 1920's house had to offer). Before installing the HardiePlank lap siding, they had to remove vinyl siding, as well as a layer of old, lead-painted wood siding hiding underneath it, and they dealt with it all safely and efficiently. The painting was done quickly and is absolutely gorgeous. They worked with our ideas and exceeded what I thought was possible. The price was more than fair for all the work they had to do, and the fact that the whole experience was interpersonally wonderful made it a great deal. They never tried to upsell us, and presented all of our options clearly (fully itemized bids!), which I greatly appreciate. I couldn't have asked for a better experience or a more beautiful home.

Quality and speed was excellent. All windows and doors trimmed and flashing installed on all windows and doors & other areas such as where siding met roof shingles. All seams neatly caulked. A couple of minor disagreements negotiated to my satisfaction. Good clean up at the end of each day.

Integrity, Quality, Professionalism is what Joseph Ketner Construction is about. From the beginning to the end, everything that Joe promised was delivered on time and with quality - no short cuts in materials or quality of work. From the moment I met him during his first visit to my house for an estimate, I knew that I would hire him regardless of the fact that I had received 4 other bids from other Contractors which were very competitive. After signing the contract to have my house completely re-sided, all new windows installed, new gutters installed and the house completely painted, I never once had "buyer's remorse" and was completely at ease with the decision to use the Joseph Ketner Construction Co. Joe and his entire crew & Office Staff treated us like friends / family and their quality of work showed that. I cannot recommend the Joseph Ketner Construction Co. any higher ! I would NOT hesitate to hire the Joseph Ketner Construction Co. again.

Exceptional. The job was completed on schedule and on budget. The crews arrived when they were supposed to and worked hard to complete the job before the rains set in. Starting with Joe himself, every employee that we came in contact was friendly, polite and professional. Special kudos to Brenda, who responded to all of our many questions, and if she didn't know the answer, would research and follow up right away. Joseph Ketner Construction provided excellent customer service every step of the way. By the way...the house looks great! Highly recommended.

I had four companies bid the job, three of the bids were competitive, and Joseph Ketner Construction was the only one that had a line item to pull out the windows and mentioned that they would be filing a permit. The contract was complete, the bid amount remained fixed, the terms were clear. The installments for payments as the project progressed were fair. Once the job commenced, someone from the company met with us every morning to check progress. Any concerns were addressed to satisfaction. Every evening, the site was left clean. The crew was professional, kind, friendly and courteous to us and to our neighbors. The crew appeared and left at the hours provided. The craftsmanship was superior. The paint job was beautiful. Based on the level of professionalism I experienced on our project, I highly recommend Joseph Ketner Construction and would hire them without any hesitancy for future projects.

Joe's crew was very efficient and concerned that all work was done correctly and they stayed on the job until it was completed. None of this here one day and gone for five! Joe quickly responded to questions and he was there often to see how things were going. As this was correcting the sloppy work of another company he took care to take pictures of every issue that showed improper installation. It was a big job and Joe handled it professionally and took care to see that it was finished on time and correctly. I would definitely recommend Joe Ketner Construction Company as they will do a good job.
