We called Jon for an estimate, and he just happened to be in the area and came by right away. He immediately seemed knowledgeable and approachable. He sent the bid over email, and we were impressed with how reasonable it was for everything he said he was going to do. He started work on the following Monday. He worked for three days straight, and even came back on the fourth day to do some finishing touches. It was such a pleasant experience from start to finish. He was easy to be around and kind to our toddler. We couldn't be happier with Jon. He is very meticulous, friendly, honest, and hardworking. Jon is old school in that he truly cares about his work and takes his time to make sure everything is absolutely right. The quality of his work is held at the highest standard. He is highly skilled at what he does, and puts heart into his work, as well. He communicated very well with us and always had our best interest in mind. He wanted us to be pleased with the finished product, asked for input, and was also able to give fantastic advice. We didn't quite know what tile layout would work best, but had some ideas. He was able to tweak our idea slightly, hugely improving our initial plan. We were so thankful for his suggestions because the final product (both tile and mantel) is stunning. You can look very closely at the fireplace and see just how meticulous he was. There is true craftsmanship in his mantel work. It is seamless and looks like it has always been there. The repair work he did on our molding is also seamless. You would never have guessed any had been broken off to begin with. We are thrilled with how our fireplace has livened up our livingroom, giving the whole room a facelift. We are excited to have our carpenter for our house and are already planning future projects we would like him to do.
