It was obvious from the start that this was not a DIY project, and a friend told us they had been very happy with Doug's remodel of their downstairs into an office + basement room. We called Doug; he came out and based on the schematics he concluded the overall dimensions of the new range were slightly different than the old range that was being replaced, and that the exhaust vent had been been shifted enough in the new model that the ducting would probably have to be rerouted too. He gave us an estimate to make those modifications.
When the new range arrived it turned out a number of other changes in the design had to be accommodated as well. Rerouting the vent turned out to be a major challenge because of the position of the floor joists in the kitchen. But when he was all done and the new range was in place, you could not tell that he had made any modifications to the cabinets or counter top. It looked like the range had always been there.
Since then we have had Doug do a number of jobs for us: From repairing front steps, to installing recessed lighting in a bathroom, to building a wall-mounted headboard in a bedroom. On all of the jobs, Doug has been the utmost professional, very clean, tidy, and punctual in his work habits, and very accurate in his cost and time estimates. We couldn't be happier with his work.
