They did a great job. It is beautiful. We are perfectly happy with it. It was a substantial project. It was done exactly the way that I wanted it. We used them to do our kitchen.

IDS Remodeling may be the best general contractor I've ever worked with, and after 20 years restoring an old house in Laurelhurst I've worked with several. Darcy and his team are very skilled and he keeps you informed of every last detail during the process; the best communication I've ever had from a contractor.

While his specialty is period kitchen and bath restorations, he took on a complete basement remodel and it turned out better than we could have ever expected. They turned 1,100 sq.ft. empty space into a functional workshop, laundry, full bathroom and family room w/ wet bar.

I like the quality of their work which was certainly one of the top things. They were very meticulous and they made numerous suggestions as to things we might want to consider which I also appreciated. In other words, if they saw something that they thought we could do better, they would suggest or recommend it and I really did appreciate that because they were really up to date on the latest things that might improve what we were doing and that we weren't aware of and made recommendations on that and I found that very helpful. The price was very reasonable and pretty much, you get what you pay for and I think they were certainly reasonable for all they did. It was good. They were right on the money and they kept me informed. Everything was written up in advance with changes whenever made and they kept in touch and they were here when they said they were going to be and they did what they said they were going to do.

I don’t know what we would have done without Darcy and IDS Remodeling. In early 2013 we hired a contractor who had previously done the external renovation of our home to do a complete interior renovation. Within about four months it became apparent that this contractor did not have the skills needed to complete this renovation. Not only was he two months behind on a project he estimated would take four months, but phases of the project were being continually revised, the contractor made significant design decisions without consulting us, and the quality of the workmanship was extremely poor. A new custom kitchen was installed with such major errors that it had to be completely demolished. A completely new trim package and a new set of oak stairs had to be pulled and replaced. Our remodel was a complete disaster.
We fired this contractor and, after interviewing five contractors experienced in interior renovation work, we selected IDS Remodeling as the replacement contractor on the job. Darcy and his son, Aaron, came in with a very comprehensive plan to complete the renovation of our home in an acceptable time frame and at a reasonable cost. Their plan not only encompassed the remediation of the shoddy work performed by the initial contractor, but included many design suggestions that improved the quality of the renovation. Above all, the one thing that impressed us the most was the fact that Darcy and Aaron treated this project as if it were the renovation of their own homes.
Without a doubt we would strongly recommend IDS Renovation if you are considering the renovation of your home. We would not hesitate to call them again for any future renovation work we had in mind.

They did an excellent job. They were very professional. I appreciated the fact that they made recommendations about other things we could do better. They gave us some very nice options in each of our projects that we could do reasonably. They are very responsive and got back to us immediately on any questions.

It went very well and we were very pleased with the work. The house was built in the late 70s and we needed a lot of upgrading for the bath. We wanted to make it a whole lot better, more accessible, easier to get in and out of and get it up to date in tile and colors. They are now redoing our upstairs bathroom.
