Humphrey Painting

I found David Humphrey on Angie's list. His location is close to our home. I left him a message and he called me back within 12 hours. He came out and gave an estimate the next day. He started work the day after. The quality of his work was excellent. He was very clean and professional. My wife liked his personality. We kept adding little jobs onto the original request of painting the basement and he was happy to do whatever we asked. Overall the experience was very positive and I will definitely contact him in the future as the need arises.

Great! If you're looking for a responsive and experienced painter, David is just that. His company was referred to me by another contractor. I called David and he returned my call immediately. He made arrangements to come by the day after I had wallpaper removed to give me an estimate on interior paint. He showed up when he said he would and provided me a detailed, written bid. When I asked for a labor only bid, he graciously provided me one and even offered to help me get discounts on paint if I purchased it myself. He also gave me great advice on the proper primers to use to seal in any left over residue from the wallpaper removal. It was apparent that David knew what he was talking about and was very experienced. I ended up using a different contractor for the interior paint only because of a special deal being offered by a paint company and its preferred painters. David came highly recommended by someone who did spotless work, and I plan to keep him in mind when selecting a painter for the exterior of the house.

Dave and his crew were good workers. Good preparation before painting. Everything done in a professional manner. House looks great.

I was insulted. Only contact this guy if you live on the "west side" because he only "does rich people." He bothered to come and look at my house and then came back to talk to me. We walked around my house while he pointed out all the flaws. He then told me that I don't have the kind of house he would paint: "You know I mostly do houses on the west side." When I said, you mean you only do rich people, he said "Yeah. I'm sure you can find some kid, oh, um painter who works in this neighborhood to paint your house." So, if you're rich and have a house that's worthy of his attention, he may be great.

David did an accurate and careful estimate and took time to answer questions and discuss options. His painters were on time, polite and careful, and did not appear in a rush or uncaring in their work. The job was finished in the time estimated and cleanup was complete and prompt.

The project went very quickly and executed in 100% professional manner. They were knowledgeable about using the correct paint for each type of surface, i.e wood, or laminate or drywall. When complete, they re-attached all the handles and knobs on the kitchen & bath cabinets. They left the site clean and in order when finished. The price estimated for their work was fair and accurate, and did not require amendment when job was completed.
