Grout Pro

Brian of Grout Pro is a very friendly and professional guy. He came on time, worked all day, and replaced grout and caulking in our shower, bathroom sink and kitchen counters. The work is beautifully done and we’re very happy with it. He gave us a reasonable estimate up front, but found that quite a bit more additional work needed to be done to get the job done right. There was no question or problem about that and he didn’t charge us a penny more. We highly recommend Brian for any tile grout or caulking work that you need done.

Excellent. Brian was prompt and informative about how to minimize problems in the future. His work was done on two separate days and completed within minutes of when he said it would be on both days.

I prefer to wait to add reviews until the work has had the chance to stand the test of time. I had Grout Pro perform a shower tile and grout cleaning and sealing, as well as recaulking, in January of 2016. The bid process was great, Brian, the owner, was very professional and punctual. He came out to do the estimate on a Friday night at 7:00, demonstrated that he knew his work, and took the time to thoroughly answer questions, etc. Brian was exceptionally busy, so to schedule with him would have been months out, or he could get one of his employees to handle the job within a couple weeks. I scheduled for one of his employees, which was likely the mistake. The job was to deep clean all the grout, which was growing mildew, apply a professional grade grout sealer, and recaulk the entire shower area. The grout sealer was described as something that should last many years, better than the "10 year" sealers available at the big box stores. It has been just over two years since the job was done, and mildew has returned in some of the places where it was before, as well as showing signs of showing up in new places. I have had to recaulk both corner walls of the shower myself since the completion of the work, as the caulking product used also grew mildew, as well as would wash away and disintegrate when I cleaned the shower. The important area of caulking around the glass shower doors was not replaced as detailed in the quote and is showing significant mildew. Unfortunately, the warranty on the work is for one year, and as most of the issues started reappearing after that time, I paid a very premium price for materials and work that has not lasted even two years. This grade is a "D" because of Brian's professionalism and reputation for doing exceptional work. Unfortunately, he did not do my job. I happened to be describing this experience to a close friend of mine, who it turns out had also used Grout Pro for his shower. He had a nearly identical experience with another employee completing very sub-par work. He was able to call Brian immediately, who came out and redid the job above my friend's expectations. I wish I had that luxury if I had been inside the warranty period. If the expectation was that the grout cleaning and resealing would last such a short period of time, I would never have considered spending this much on the job.

They were on time, gave me an upfront quote, and did a really good job. They were polite and efficient. I will be using them to re grout another counter top.

Corners were great and walls great. Would have liked them to bring the grout up a little higher on the floor. Nice people, very good communication.

Mr. Chambers of Grout Pro came to our house last November to look at our upstairs shower to provide us with a quote to seal the areas of open grout/caulk that caused it to leak into our downstairs basement. I found Mr. Chambers to be courteous, knowledgeable, personable and competent. I contacted him immediately after his visit by email to follow-up on the terminology used in his contract/quote so I could be sure that we were on the same page and that everything we needed to be completed would be. He suggested in an email that he might have our job confused with another customer and wanted to come back and have another look at the shower and then the heavy snows came in December. I followed up since December by email (4 times), text message (3 times) and phone message (once) and US Mail and did not receive ANY response at all. POSTSCRIPT TO ORIGINAL REVIEW: THE OWNER CAME OUT ON APRIL 17 AND REPAIRED THE SHOWER AT HIS OWN COST. BEFORE SCHEDULING THIS APPOINTMENT THE OWNER ADMITTED HE HAD DROPPED THE BALL IN REGARDS TO COMMUNICATION AND FOLLOW-UP ON OUR PROJECT AS MENTIONED ABOVE, I FOUND MR. CHAMBERS COMPETENT AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. I THEREFORE HAVE REVISED MY REVIEW TO INCLUDE THIS ADDENDUM. I HAVE NO RESERVATION RECOMMENDING HIS WORK.

We needed approximately 56 tiles replaced that over the years had cracked due to heavy kitchen use. Grout Pro came in and completed the installation on time. We are very happy with the results.

Brian did a great job - attention to detail, would call Grout Pro again.

When Brian came to our home to do a quote, he walked into our master bathroom tiled shower and listed numerous issues with the shower area, such as loose tiles, grout that needed to be replaced, re-grouting the floor of the shower etc. His bid for the first shower was reasonable, but his bid for the second shower was high but if he did all of the things that he said he was going to do, it was acceptable. Brian wrote the quote on 6/21/16 and the appointment for the work was scheduled for 8/5/16. I regret not detailing all of the things he agreed to take care of but when he arrived on 8/6/16, he cleaned the tile and sealed it and did non of the other work he quoted $615 for. He started to leave and I asked about the other items. He agree to return on Sunday and re-grout the tile in the shower floor. He did a very poor job and now I have red coming out of the grout which is a light brown that never happened before. I would never recommend him to anyone.

They did an excellent job. They did everything by hand and they cleaned up after them selves.

Brian's great -- he actually came to our home on New Years Day as scheduled to do the work (he's a hard worker),  but the wind storm that day knocked out the electricity in our neighborhood. He waited a while to see if the electricity would go back on but after about 30 minutes it had not so we rescheduled for 5:30 pm Fri 1-8-16. He did a great job and now our shower which was initially installed 5 years ago looks like new!  I've recommended Brian and Grout Pro to two other people now. I highly recommend him.

It went great. House is 20+ years and all the grout and caulk is original with no resealing. I had been meaning to recaulk for years and never did it. Finally I decided to hire it out. Brian estimated the job for just caulking and we also discussed redoing the grout and cleaning the tiles (hard water spots and soap buildup). I decided to go for the whole improvement and glad I did. It looks like new!

Brian arrived right on time.  He is very personable and pleasant to talk to.  He did a great job meeting my excitable dogs.  Brian cleaned and replaced some grout on my kitchen counter between the back splash and counter, and removed and re-caulked the shower corners, frame, and glass door.  The result was that my shower looked better than it did when it was first installed.  Brian found some areas that he thought might be allowing water to seep through and repaired those areas.  Due to those repairs the job took a little bit longer so Alex finished up the project.  Alex is much like Brian, very personable and capable.  I would hire Grout Pro again without hesitation.  Great experience
