I wish I could give less than 1 star. This company took my money and conducted an audit, and after repeated requests on my end for the results and repeated promises on their end to give the results and a promise of a refund, have yet to do so in the 7+ months since the audit was conducted. This was after a multiple month wait on their wait-list to get the energy audit in the first place. I know this company has stellar reviews, but this has been one of the worst experiences with a business I've ever had.

I can't think of any negatives to include on this review. We had used Greensavers once before for blown-in wall insulation on our cedar-sided craftsman house and so included them in our search for a replacement for our approx 30y/o furnace. The were competitive on the bid and were knowledgeable in going whole-house with a ducted heat pump. They had great communication and were upfront about how long it would take to schedule us in (equipment delays) and they kept to that schedule. Their crew was one of the best we have worked with especially Charlie the project manager and their install lead, Javier. The system is very quiet (Mitsubishi) and we love the more constant temperature it maintains in our house. We also were interested in better air filtration and followed their recommendation to upgrade to a electrostatic filter. I would not hesitate to recommend them highly for any heat pump installation.

Green savers did an excellent job on the entire attic. They installed insulation wrapped two lights vented bathroom fans to the outdoors where is previously they’ve been vented into the attic and installed insulation on the trap door. The gentleman who did the work arrived on time, were very pleasant, courteous, and efficient. They left the house perfectly clean. I would definitely hire green savers again if I had or have additional work to be done. Thank you Greensavers.

We recently bought a ~110 year old house that was barely insulated. Our initial plan was just to have some new insulation blown into the attic, but after a thorough walkthrough, Greensavers' estimator, Todd, recommended several other measures as well, including installing vents and kneewalls in the attic, fixing several exhaust vents that had been installed incorrectly, and sealing leaks. Todd explained everything he was recommending very thoroughly, and while we ended up spending a lot more than we originally planned to, we did so feeling like we were making an informed decision. Scheduling was painless, and the crew did excellent work. The difference couldn't be more obvious- the attic room, which is right under the roof, is comfortable even in winter. If you open the access panel to the attic proper you can immediately tell it's a good 20-30 degrees colder out there. Emily did the final walkthrough, and I appreciated that when I mentioned that we were also thinking of getting some earthquake retrofitting done (having noticed in her email signature that she was one of their seismic installers) she volunteered to go down to the basement with me and have a look at the foundation. We have not yet pulled the trigger on that work, but we would feel very confident getting it done by Greensavers based on our experience with them to date, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone in the market for insulation work.

I hired Greensavers to do some weatherization and to install a heat pump system with ducted and ductless components. I've had nothing but problems, and communication from Greensavers has been imprecise, slow, and evasive. First, they installed the wrong outdoor unit. What I asked for, and what they specified in the quote they gave me, was a Mitsubishi 42k BTU system, of which only one model exists, which was a HyperHeat model. They instead installed a 40k BTU system without HyperHeat. When I pointed out this error to them, they required me to pay extra to get them to install the unit they had quoted in the first place. On top of that, the unit they had installed wasn't working properly. Then when I brought up the constant clicking and popping and creaking noises from the indoor units, which was loud enough to wake me repeatedly all night, every night, whether the units are turned on or not, they were slow in responding on trying to take action. Consistently, they would wait until the very end of the day on Fridays to reply to my emails, and even if I answered within 2 or 3 minutes, it would be the next Friday again until they replied. On at least one occasion, the person they were sending out to try to fix the problem never even showed up. Then, after almost 4 months of slow back and forth communication and no resolution to the problems, they've simply stopped responding to me. The last time that they came out to try a fix was in mid April, and I let them known on April 19th that the problem still existed. They haven't replied to any of my contact attempts since then, and it has been a month and a half. Here we are now, half a year after the system was installed, and there are still problems that Greensavers has acknowledged, but is refusing to make right. This is after they installed the wrong unit and made me pay extra to get the unit I needed (and that they quoted) installed instead.

Greensavers came back to re-insulate an area they had done last year that was then remodeled. Unlike the initial job, no one came to inspect the work after it was done. They were also unwilling to give me the Chinook book savings I was entitled to,around $50, suggesting that they were already doing me a favor by doing such a small job. The initial job was around $10K and I was unaware that I could have saved around $400 with my Chinook book then. They seem to know their stuff as far as energy efficiency goes but their customer service side could use some improvements.

Excellent! Nick did a great job on detailing the proposal. Kelly, the project manager, was so easy to work with and easy to reach whenever I had a question. The crew came in and went straight to work. They were done so quickly I was worried they didn't do everything! I'm very, very happy with the work and impressed with how hard working they were. They left my house clean too! The attic looks amazing and definitely felt a difference with my bathroom fan vented. Also, my electrician was a bit behind in schedule so GreenSavers had to adjust so he could complete the electrical work before blowing in the insulation. They were so flexible and easy going about the whole thing. I would not hesitate to use their services again although they pretty much took care of most of my needs already! Thank you GreenSavers for renewing my faith in contractor businesses.

The crew took down and replaced the window dressing hardware and drapes on the inside as well as the awnings on the outside. The crew arranged to have both windows painted prior to installation and came back on a dry day to paint the outside.

Everyone at GreenSavers was great to work with. They showed up on time, completed the work on time, cleaned up at the end of day and kept me informed about all aspects of the project. I was especially impressed with the communication between the people who did the energy audit, the construction leader and the actual workers. Everyone knew what was supposed to happen and completed the job according to plan. They did a follow up inspection to make sure everything was done. GreenSavers researches all available tax credits, applies incentives that can save money and sent information about what I need to do when I file my taxes at the end of the year. When the time comes for a new water heateror a new furnace I will contact GreenSavers without hesitation. I was very impressed.

The crew was pleasant. When I noticed some of the cellulose had blown into the return duct they found the problem and took care of it. There was no way they could have known of the defect in the return air duct but they cleaned up the problem repaired the air duct at no extra charge.
I'm glad I didn't risk using any of the types of blown in insulation which I have read bad reviews about. That is, people complaining about bad chemical smell.

Our house has a second-story addition that has wall insulation, but the first story walls were uninsulated. I had the attic and crawl space air-sealed and insulated previously, doing some of the work myself. I had delayed having the walls done for a number of years as I was unsure of the benefits and concerned for the appearance of the exterior after having shingles removed and holes drilled.
Crew came out and completed in two days. The foreman spent time with me explaining what they were doing and making sure that all was well inside the house. After completion he validated that all cavities were filled. They cleaned up the job site well and touched up the shingles with paint I provided. It looks pretty good at this point, but I plan to paint next season anyway.
Regarding the results now that we've had some colder weather, I can only say that it is simply remarkable how much difference the insulation makes. I don?t have any ideas how much difference it will make to our gas bill, but the house is so much more pleasant without the drafts and cold walls and the furnace barely ever cycles on.

Greensavers did an excellent job from start to finish.
They weren't the cheapest but when I compared their product, offer to replace the sash if rotten and their professional and responsive estimating it was an easy decision. Id use them again.
