I have had them do some repairs too. They're alright, but not that there's anything that's particularly happened good or bad. They're just a run of the mill.

I have it done every few months. I use them mostly because they're in walking distance. So I can just take the car there and leave it and walk home and walk back later to pick it up. It's done within a few hours in the same day. The workers are professional.

These guys care about cars. Specifically they care about my car. This is a small up and coming shop with an owner who spends a lot of time in the shop himself and even drives a VW TDI SVO conversion. The staff seems well taken care of and it shows in their diligence, skill and knowledge of the vehicles they service. The garage itself is not spectacular; no frills, but it is an automobile shop - not a dealership where you get ripped of for being offered a plush couch and a candy bar. These guys also care about the environment and will often ride a bike to pick up supplies and use only the most eco-friendly lubricants. They are masters of recycling too; this is truly a Portland garage. My experience has always been great - they made sure I knew what was happening with my car, called to let me know if there were any hiccups (for my approval) and if anything went wrong; they fixed it. I would recommend these guys to anyone with a VW. I know they work on other makes, but they have a real knack for TDIs. They also make excellent recommendations that you won't find at the dealership, quick lube shops or even Les Schwab.

Green Drop is a nice chill place that knows their stuff. They were running a promotion for oil changes, but were giving half their profits to your choice of 5 different charities in town. They did a great job and pointed out a few things to keep an eye on, but said not to spend money on it yet.

I visited the garage and chatted with the owner. He took the time to explain their use of recycled oil, their punch card system for a substantial discount and their online reservation system. I subsequently made an online reservation for the next day. They changed my oil in less than an hour. They checked my car and reported several issues to me. They identified those which might be important and those which were trivial. There was no pressure whatsoever to get additional work done. I paid $100 for four oil changes. The deal is entirely flexible so I can use it on either of my family's two cars and it doesn't expire. They use recycled oil, which I think is a great idea. I ended up talking to the owner and two of the staff and each of them were very friendly and very happy to answer my many questions. There was a dog who was very friendly as well but didn't answer any questions. I found the online reservation system to be quite convenient.

Very helpful and kind people at the front desk, and a nice little couch area with a wandering garage dog, in sight and in hearing range of the car, they were all very professional and kind and they explained things to me with out talking down to me ( as a woman, i get that a lot!).

Scheduled the service online several dys in advance and received a confirmation of our time and day within 24 hrs. by email. Brought our car (Toyota Matrix) into shop in morning and received quote for services at drop off. They called us a few hours later and told us the squeaky belt actually had more miles on it and didn't really have to be replaced if we didn't want to spend the money at that time but we opted to replace it anyway. The car was ready for us that same day in the afternoon. This is the 5th service we've had at Green Drop on either our Toyota or Mercedes sedan. In every case their service and workmanship has been outstanding.

First of all, they have a great website, easy to navigate and allows you to make an appointment online, which is awesome. I received a call back within 15 minutes of making the appointment to confirm the day, time and what needed to be done. Secondly, they are available on Saturday's which is great when you work during the week. Lastly, as they were doing the work they called to verify that I wanted to use the higher priced synthetic oil that my car requires instead of just making the assumption and had it ready within an hour of dropping it off. Also, I didn't have to experience the post oil change interrogation where they try to upsell you on every little thing like other oil change "specialists" do (You know what I'm talking about). Overall, I'm very happy with the work and the ease of getting it done. I will definitely be going back.
