Fresh Paint

I hired Fresh Paint to re-paint the exterior of my house and had a
terrific experience.
PROS: high quality paint job, lead paint encapsulation, no delay in
scheduling, and a very good price. The company was super easy to work
with and even threw in some upgrades at no charge.
CONS: None.
The overall experience was outstanding and I will hire them again. I
called Fresh Paint because I needed to have the exterior of my house
painted, but I got a lot of more mileage from hiring this company
since they also offer general contacting services. The owner, Randy,
has painting crews and carpentry crews so in addition to the exterior
paint job, Fresh Paint also fixed the flashing on my roof, replaced
dry root wood on my dormer, and repaired a hole in a bedroom closet.
When the carpenters were here, I asked for a small fence to be erected
in the side yard and they were very accommodating. It was a small
extra charge to add the fence because it was outside of the scope of
the original contract, but the price was very reasonable since the
carpenters were already here. This was the advantage of working with
Fresh Paint because they offer general contracting services. If I had
hired only a painting company, I would have had to manage two
different companies and I think I would have paid a lot more.
Picking Fresh Paint from the beginning was an easy choice. Before
signing the contract with Fresh Paint, I got one other estimate from a
painting company that was 40% more expensive than Fresh Paint, offered
a smaller scope of work (Fresh Paint included carpentry work with
their quote), AND the other company had a 4-week delay in starting.
Fresh Paint was the clear winner. I signed the contract with Fresh
Paint to repaint the exterior on a Thursday and work was totally
finished the following Wednesday.
The new paint job looks wonderful. Even our neighbors have said how
much better the house looks. I recommend Fresh Paint to anyone in
Portland and am looking forward to my next home improvement project
with them!

It went awesome!! Brandon was great, very detailed oriented and went above and beyond expectations. He left no mess behind. He took his time and didn't rush any part of the job with prep work, staining, or painting. Everything looks great!

They removed all the doors, towel racks, lighting fixtures and window coverings and completely covered the carpets, kitchen appliances, and bath fixtures with paper to protect the surfaces.
They then painted the ceilings and walls to perfection. I'm a perfectionist and so are these painters. Afterwards I went around with blue tape where any minor touch-up was needed and that was taken care of. Jeff, the head painter and crew chief, does amazing work - these guys really know their stuff.
They are always on time, careful with the property, and clean up completely after they are done. While they may be more expensive than some of the painters around, their professionalism and quality work is well worth the expense.

We took bids on painting the house. Dyrayll's bid was most workable for our budget (and line of credit) but more importantly, his easy-going professionalism won us over. We wanted to work with him. He's very thorough in his bid process and promised no cost over-runs. He even provided an hour consultation with color consultant Shannon Baird. It was so reassuring to have someone support our choices since we wanted to be historically accurate and Shannon is certified in that area.
The crew showed up right on time. They were exceptionally polite and as unobtrusive as any crew could be considering the circumstances. They finished on time, even coming on Saturday to make sure they met their deadline.
There was a small problem with the paint curing on the front porch. They caught it and came back to sand it down and redo. No complaints at all!

I was more than pleased with the new look of the house. They have good business practices with a detailed estimate and contract. They were very punctual and cleaned up every day with minimal damage to landscaping.

I had a very good experience with them. The guys came everyday. They were very clean. They listened to all my questions and answered everything. They were great to work with and they worked with me to finish the project with the new project. I would use them in the future as well.

Excellent! The story is told in the previous section. I love the paint job and I was actually sorry to see the men go, for they were fun to be around.

The quality of the work was head and shoulders above the other two times I have had my house painted. Since I have had some bad experiences with people working on my house, I monitor what is being done carefully, but this was needless in this case. They did excellent prep work, including power wash, scraping, sanding and caulking. Dyrayll and his crew were very patient with my last minute change of colors and watchfulness. They were responsive and easy to work with.
