FORSGREN DESIGN STUDIO

John Forsgren has done work for us on and off for many years.  In our previous house, he figured out the right furniture placement and helped us buy furniture for the living room.  He also designed a wall/screen for a deck to replace a solid wall.   Now, in a condo, he has designed shelving and cabinets for us.  John has an excellent sense of space.  Aesthetics are extremely important to him, but efficient and pleasurable use of a given space is even more important.  His designs are elegant and understated.  He is sensitive to cost considerations.  For instance, he initially suggested we try to find the bedroom cabinets at Ikea.  In his designs, he thinks of all the little details that improve the utility of the piece, such as placement of outlets.  John is also a master of color using it in subtle ways to enhance the beauty of a room.  Finally, he is easy to work with, respectful of our wishes but willing to push us a bit if we're headed in the wrong direction.  He worked quickly and was easy to communicate with.
