FORENSIC WATERPROOFING CONSULTANTS

Forensic were engaged to assist in a water leakage problem into our housing structure. They were paid for an initial assessment which provided a 12 page report that did a search of the property and attempted to do a root cause determination of the water intrusion issue. For this, we were charged $1,200. The product - the report - was professionally done, but it did little more than let us know that there was a failure in the water barrier. Still, we proceeded to give the go ahead to pay them to come up with a comprehensive plan to fix the problem. After charging more than $4,000, they did little more than contact a waterproofing contractor to provide a quote. That was it. When we met to look at the final 'product' we expressed our unhappiness with it, but they were unwilling to refund the money. We had made it clear up front that we wanted a range of options, but they did not follow through with this. Overall, quite unhappy and I would not recommend them for future or other work.

I was extremely happy with his service. He was here in a timely manner. He was nice and informative. He was able to offer opinions regarding the leaking window. I had called window companies but did not get anyone to look at it. The siding company said the siding was fine. The report that I got will be helpful because I can then take the information back to the builder or whomever.

I described our house to their representative on the phone & he gave a firm quote of $450, which I thought was fairly priced compared to other companies I had called. Jed Jensen was our inspector. He called on the morning of the appointment to change the time of the inspection & arrived promptly at the new time. Jed was pleasant to deal with & had a good attitude even though he encountered a wasp nest during the inspection. We received our written report about 2 & a half weeks after the inspection. The report was well written & they used photographs to highlight specific problems with our EIFS stucco. We had a follow-up phone discussion with Jed which was quite helpful.
