They did do a good job on the kitchen and bathroom vinyl and the carpet except as noted next.
Replacing the entrance vinyl required re-doing the vinyl-carpet interface which they had to do twice (3 times total) and it is still a little sloppy.
My contact at Floor Factors was unresponsive and it often took several phone calls to get anything done.
They did give me a $400 credit for the dining room, paid for a new threshold and gave me a $100 credit for the door damage. But, even with those things the whole experience and quality of work was not worth it.
Installer came at requested date and time to perform the installation. My floor did require some prep work--filling cracks and cutting area around the door trim at the bottom for the tile to fit. That took about 1 hour for that extra prep work and another 30 minutes or so for mortar to dry enough to continue.
Installer then put adhesive and installed the 12x12 tiles. The material for the job cost around $220 - for our required 30 sqft of install. We had to buy minimum of 48sqft. Labor was $400.
After tile was installed the grouting was done. Finally the carpet transition strip was put down again. It took about four hours for one person to complete the task. The tiles looked nice and installer did good job of placement and alignment.
When the tiles cured and grout dried we noticed some cracks and had to get those fixed. I was hoping they could come out within the next couple of days to fix the grout but it ended up taking 1 week (Thanksgiving got in way). So, I marked them down on responsiveness. Frank, who I worked with on the phone and via internet was very good and quick to respond, the issue was in getting the call back trip setup.
As for quality, having the grout crack and need repaired, requiring a call back was one minus. Also, when the installer redid the transition strip it came out a little crooked and hammered up. I suppose those things are one time use and getting them back down is difficult. So, that part doesn't look good. Someday we'll replace the carpet and that will resolve that.
They did a decent job, price was fair and company was easy to communicate with. I would consider them for future work. However, having said that, our next remodel we did use Paulsons and got a little bit better pricing.
