Family Tree Masters

This is a family business and work was done by 4 family members and one subcontractor.Work started November 3rd. I asked for a written contract even though he said he would bring one he didn't. A Large maple 70-80 ft. and pear tree 25 ft- taken down surgically precise. Large limbs from neighbors tree removed very good precise and pear tree taken down. Used a subcontractor, not a family member on the maples and family member on the pear tree. They forgot to prune the vine maples away from the roof of my house and the magnolia was only pruned to make lead way for the large maple to be felled.It was unsatisfactory. He asked me if i wanted yard clean up of leaves and i said yes.It was Wednesday Nov 8th the smaller limbs were shredded and removed. He said he would be back Friday Nov 10 to finish yard cleanup. He did not show up, i texted and he said it would be Dec 3. I texted Dec 2 to what time i could expect him and he said Dec 4th would be better because he would be tired from driving. I then said if he was not here Monday i would like a refund of 350.00 for the trees and yard clean up. He didn't show up and I called several times and He would not take my calls. I felt they didn't clean up the sidewalk and my street as well as they could have. This was difficult since i didn't get a contract and the cutting had already begun. Patrick said yes he would and kept putting things off. It has been one month now since the work first started and i was tired of being lead around. Today i finished the yard clean up and pruning of the magnolia. The vine maples will have to wait. The things agreed upon and paid for were not done and the empty promises and this is why the low marks.
