We have used these folk a lot. They are always prompt, professional and fair in pricing.

We were recommended this company by a friend that had a positive experience. The electrician came out for an estimate and then returned the following week when we were having out stove installed. His price was reasonable, he knew what he was doing, he was nice, and he got the work done quickly (thus costing less than the estimate). Overall a great experience. Will use again when we update fixtures and do more electrical work in the future!

They did a great job; very professional. I think like with any business I need to remember that they do have other jobs and customers just need to be patient.

The job was completed thoroughly and to our satisfaction.  Ours was not an easy installation, but James has a sincere desire to provide good customer service and he made sure that we were completely  happy with the finished product.  We would definitely call on his company again.

On Sunday the bedroom light started flickering and made crackling sounds.

Looked on Angie's List at various electrical companies within 5 miles of my location and of those with multiple reviews, Electech appeared to be an all purpose company, that is, one that will do small jobs as well as big ones.

Called on Monday morning and left a message which was returned the same morning. I was not at home but James let me know that a person could come out that same day! Upon my return I left another message saying that sending a person would be fine.

Paul, the service tech, came in the early afternoon and determined the fixture had to be replaced. He was willing to go to the local hardware store and purchase a replacement product and install it.

He was very professional and did not waste time but he also had a good sense of humor.

I think he said everything took an hour and a half and for the work and the purchase of the fixture the price was $245. I don't have a receipt (it will be sent in the mail) as the work was done today so I can't be exactly sure if I got the time right. And I am unfamiliar with the general price structure for electrical work.

But for any further electrical problems I plan on calling Electech first.

I sent a service request by email in late afternoon and received a call the next morning, and work was all done by 1:45 that day.  Vince exceeded our expectations for responsiveness and speed of work.  He explained what he was doing and why.   We are very pleased with him and would definitely use him again.   I really don't have a good handle on pricing but I rated it an A because he tried to get all done within an hour, and succeeded.   So if the $150 hourly rate was high, his efficiency made up for it.  (The other $20 was for materials.)
We also participate in a neighborhood association recommended service provider list and will put Electech on it.

Super prompt and professional.  Called me back within 30 mins of my leaving service request.  Set appointment conveniently on my day off.  James arrived with Juston and the two of them did all the work needed -- got everything done within a few hours.  James was very thorough about explaining anything I asked about.  He also followed up with my email questions afterwards even though he was moving from one home to another in this weekend's two rainstorms. They gave me several good ideas and explanations about some ventilation in my garage as well, which will result in my finding a handy but inexpensive way to accomplish that.  They were very supportive of low energy-use methods and equipment.   I will use Electech again for any electrical needs in future.  Great guys, great work!  Price was fine.

Most of the work was in a family room we were redoing with new floor, paint etc.  James was terrific! Told me about new type of heater to replace old baseboard. They are smaller and look great. James came out and gave estimate to my son while I was at work. Rod came the first time and place the 3 outlet boxes in the floor after the subfloor was in. He also took out the old baseboards and bathroom heater. The next time James came and installed the floor outlets and heaters. It just happened to be a 90+ temp that day and can't imagine  having to turn 4 heaters on to test on such a hot day. Scheduled last visit around my work schedule and that was yesterday when he and employee added the breaker, GFC, fan, ourside outlets and installed the kitchen light.
Have to say this was a stressful (personal) time as daughter and 2 small grandkids were moving back in, but arrived earlier then expected. They were very nice to the kids as I was running errands to get my daughter and kids settled.  James gave me the final balance but I said he failed to add the kitchen light to the bill as it was not on the original work order.  He said "everyone needs a break once in awhile".  To me that says a lot about his values and treatment of others.
I would hire him again and took his card to give to some builders I know.  I will recommend James Johnson at Electech to everyone looking for a great electrician.

Estimator/electrician James Johnson was very knowledgeable and provided a very reasonable estimate to do some breaker box rewiring, GFCI installs and move some exposed basement wiring.  After several other bids, it was apparent that his bid was dramatically lower, I contacted him and we discovered that all the repairs were not addressed in his bid.  We were able to come to an agreeable price and He completed the work in one day with an associate.  Very happy with the results.

James did an exceptional job and was very professional and communicative every step of the way.  I had another company give us a quote for the same work and it was $1,000 more, but I know that quality of work was not sacrificed.  We've had a lot of contractors come through our home and James is definitely one of the best.

James arrived at the scheduled time to check our electrical box for a humming noise.  He removed the front panel and made sure all the connections were tight and looked for other possible problems.  Everything looked fine so he proceeded to troubleshoot each circuit breaker to determine the source of the noise.  Narrowed it down to one circuit and replaced the breaker.  Noise is now gone.  James was very friendly and willing to take the time to answer my questions.  Before he left I got an estimate from him for a small wiring job and will be calling to schedule in the near future.  Highly recommend.

Called and they were able to send Roger to my home late that afternoon. Roger was very professional. He saw the burnt wire and metal box. He replaced and said that the wiring was not done to specifications when originally installed. I would definitely use them again. 

James arrived at our home right at the appointed time we had set up only one day previous.  We appreciated his punctual and most friendly service.  His most kind explanation of all that he was looking for, finding and what needed to be done or what was found to be just fine also.  Always nice to learn what is acceptable about electrical work in your home.  He did find a real fire hazard in one very old and poorly installed outlet.  When we saw the concern there, we ask that he come back and check further for us.  He installed new outlets where needed.  Provided all the materials and his expertise without issue or concern. 
We had other needs, such as a circuit box for a generator plug in case of power outage at our home.  He will work on a bid for that as well as more plug in safety issues.  Less kitchen and family room electric outlets and lights on one circuit breaker.
We were most impressed with his quick work, yet cautious checking and instructions that help us to understand and know better what to watch with electric in our home. 
We have had electricians worth us in our previous homes in the last 30+ years and found James' company to be the most efficient, thoughtful and economical company ever!  He had come to help us with an installation electricity for a booster fan for our forced air duct system.  That has saved us so much money on utility bill and much warmer in the bedrooms farthest from the furnace.  A great idea and he had to have it running whenever the furnace come on and is blowing.  It is a great addition to our home also.

Everything went great. James does the initial estimated and all the communication, then he sends a reliable crew which was a father and son team. Everyone was very nice and communication was great. Work was done on time and all within the quoted pricing. Very professional and easy to work with. Our house is small but we had quite a bit of work done and we acted as out own GC. James along with Joel from Hawthorne Plumbing and Rob from Ceramic & Stone Solutions all worked really well together and everything was very smooth. They know each other and if you need Electrical, Plumbing, Stone or tile work I highly reccommend hiring all 3. Ome of the things we liked about all 3 these guys is that they would give you ideas of what you could do. Of course that led to more work but we were excited about all of it and really pleased with how it turned out. We interviewed 2 other Electricians before goign with ElechTech.
