They had top notch skilled technicians working for him. They were professsional and knowledgeable. They made the job as seamless as possible while we were still living here.

Don is a real perfectionist, as is his project manager for this house. Their craftsmanship is really impressive. I'm a perfectionist, too, but their work actually exceeded my expectations, which is a first. Don and his team are very creative. Given a difficult problem, they'd propose a stream of surprisingly creative options until a good solution was agreed on (it was fun to be part of this). Don is cost-conscious, and on several occasions proposed options that reduced our cost without compromising the look and quality of the house. Don's work is quite reasonably priced, but in addition, he and his team are very good at finding top quality subcontractors who are well priced. Our custom metalwork and cabinets, for example, are both very high quality and a good bit cheaper than I expected, as are our hardwood floors. Don and his team take a very hands-on approach, really no detail escapes them. Both he and his project manager made sure throughout the project that we were happy with the work and with how the project was turning out. Communication was very good, including on-site meetings, phone calls, email, and pictures. When a decision needed to be made, we had as much time to make it as we needed, and we got as much input as we needed. Overall, we feel we were lucky to find Don and his team, and they'd definitely be our choice for another project.

A little higher in price, but worth the cost. Showed up on time everyday (no excuses). This is rare with contractors right??? Last time I did a large remodel I went days without workers showing up and had no idea why. The work was done at the highest level of quality and we even came in a bit below the original quote. This is a reputable, honest and fair contractor that takes pride in his level of craftsmanship and professionalism. I would highly recommend.

Don Young and Associates has done a fabulous job of helping us. They have done all the trouble shooting and remediation that needed to be done in order to pass building inspections. And mind you, that was no easy feat. Many things had to be opened up, and taken apart to figure out what the other contractor had or hadn't done, what was done correctly, and what had to be done over again. It made the job much more difficult. Plus, many of the things the contractor did had not been done in compliance with permits, and it was up hill all the way. Don was able to figure out the puzzle, take it apart, work with the building inspectors, and get our project put back together again. We are nearing completion, and passed our inspections, and are getting ready to celebrate! I highly recommend Don Young, he has seen us through some very dark times.
