Dale, from DL Construction, came out for an estimate. He started off by wanting 100% up front. This is not something I am traditionally ok with. However, in deciding to let them do the work I was very pleased. They ask for 100% up front in order to get all the materials needed, at the start of the project. He is very honest. He doesn't talk you into any unessecary projects. He starts a job and finishes it. It took him only 4 days to start and finish my deck and about a day and a half to start and finish the porch. He conducted all demo work, including the removal of the old deck and construction of the new. Dale has great craftmanship. I was very impressed with what he was able to accomplish. In fact, Dale is so honest, his supplier gave him a key to the yard, to come at his leasure for supplies, based on an honor system. We have referred him to friends.
