Dish Network

The signal kept going out and they had to come out several times. I had to replace every satellite box in the house at one time or the other. Finally, I just put up with the glitches. It never did work perfectly. I had their insurance and was afraid to drop it, even though I thought they should stand behind their products and services. When I was getting ready to drop dish, they told me that I could have just signed up for insurance when I had a problem and it would be effective as of that day. Would have been nice to know. When I decided to go to DirectTV, Dish told me that my final bill would be a certain amount. When I got the bill, however, the bill was $101 more than they had said. I called, and he said that regardless of what I had been told, the bill was what it was. They are even charging me $10 per box to return their equipment. I was unhappy with Dish. They cost too much and never worked as advertised.

They wanted to charge us but we had a fuss and said no. They guy that came out for the service call was very pleasant, nice, and professional. they came when they said they would come and it took like 2 seconds to fix the problem because it had been installed incorrectly. I pay a fee every month for an insurance protection incase something happens. All of the sudden it wasn't working properly and they said since we have the insurance protection it would only be $15. My husband told them that we are not paying it because we pay extra money every month and there is something faulty wrong with their equipment. They agreed to come out without the money. I have a lot of problem with DISH in general. Initially the price was quite good and then our initial time ran out and it got bad. As soon as our contract is up we are jumping ship.

The service is good.
