CZ Becker recently refinished the oak floors in our LR & DR. The floor was in need of attention for over 20 years as when we bought the house there were gouges and stains and even an area where the boards buckled slightly due to previous moisture. He was prompt and thorough in the bid process. The final price is exactly what he quoted. The employee who did the work performed the work according to the schedule Frank had explained during the bid. Start Monday, finish Wednesday. What was outstanding about this experience is the clear communication with Frank when we had questions, and the beautiful results. I was blown away at the end result. EVERY stain and scratch and gouge is gone. Even the black water stain that his employee told me wouldn't be completely gone. They are just beautiful. And a nice touch was coming home on Wednesday and finding a "Wood floor care kit" and care instructions.

What a difference! I bought a 123 year old home that had seen ~20 years of neglect. The floors and stair treads were really chewed up. There was a section in the kitchen where the previous occupants had clearly let refrigerator condensation drip onto the floor for years and the floor boards were rotten and lumpy. The repair that Frank's crew did looks so seamless and the net effect of the entire job was beautiful. I am so grateful that they restored and protected this charming old home and did such a fast and professional job. Frank has a calm and friendly demeanor and I felt completely safe having him and his crew in my home. They're a small business and a busy team so it can take a little pestering to catch Frank but they show up on time, do the job well and you will be thrilled with your "new" floors.

They started March 27th and ended April 3rd. they have a lot of experience and very professional. They can pretty much solve any problem you can give to them with your floors.

Excellent! Floors look like new. Job went quickly and smoothly. After talking it over with Frank Magnuson (President, estimator, chief cook and bottle washer), we chose a low-VOC oil-based finish rather than a no-VOC water-borne finish. Very happy with that part of it, too. We'd definitely hire them again.

Great. They top-nailed everything and did several coats of finish so the floors look great. We've used them before to refinish our fir floors and they did a great job. Very responsive and professional. The price was not too far from others we got bids from. They didn't damage any of the trim or walls, unlike other wood floor companies we've used.

I will never hire them again.  They came out and refinished it.  But it had been three years now and it needs refinishing again.  So they did not do a good job.  When I did my research on how refinishing should last, it said a minimum of seven years.  It was only three since they did the work and the floor was back to where when I asked to come.  The stairs that they did not do which was also years old is better shape than the kitchen floors that they did.  I was really unhappy with it.  I called them several times and it took me several calls for them to respond to my call.  They said they will send out someone to look at the floor but no one came.  I called again but still no one came.  

They were good at the beginning but it did not last.  I noticed that the floor is extremely slippery.  I am going to call another provider to do the refinishing again.

They were great and our floors look wonderful. They even came back to resolve a problem that was not of their making. We are very happy with the results.

This was the second time we have used CZ Becker. the first was a remodeled kitchen in a Laurelhurst bungalow and this is a remodel of a 50's home. They came out for a detailed estimate and set up the dates of service. They discussed which products I wanted for the finish and the type of duct covers. I had additional questions later on re-using a mahogany base and they were very pleasant in their responses. The work crew was professional and fun to work with. I used a water based clear finish. The floors are absolutely beautiful.

They were prompt and professional. Work was completed on time and on budget. They patched a hole in an area that we moved a floor vent. I can't even tell where they did it. It's seamless. The floors look great and we would definitely use them again.

We were out of town, had a meeting before we left and one phone call. Our neighbor checked at night to see if everything had been locked properly and it had. Very good experience, they were very reliable and did the job as they said they would.

That was an excellent company. They showed up when they said they were going to. They did the job they said they were going to. The job was done to my satisfaction. I have recommended them to other people. I would use them in the future too.

They did a fabulous job on some pretty rough floors. We love the eco-friendly water based finish!! Great work overall.

Most of the work was mediocre with some problems. The finish is not holding up well even though the traffic is VERY light (no kids, no pets). The staircase was horrible. No preconditioning was used and they turned out very splotchy and ugly. The owner was impossible to work with and very rude. We had to have the stairs redone by another company.

Great!! Frank came in to assess the job and (unlike the previous refinisher) told me there was enough wood to sand and refinish the floor several more times. They worked quickly and the floors are perfect! You can not tell where they patched over the cold air return. In addition the Frank and his crew were courteous and positive about the work. They were people you trusted to have in your home. After our floors were refinished the movers put two very deep scratches on the dining room floor. I called Frank Magnuson, project manager for C. Z. Becker Co. and right away, he sent over someone to fill in the scratch at no charge. Of course it's still there - it will be for several sandings to come - but it does look A LOT better. Thank you, Frank, for the above and beyond service.

The staff was on time, the project took about as long as they expected it to take, and the results are beautiful. I was happy to see that the technicians had excellent respirators and other equipment, because another floor refinisher that we have used did not use appropriate safety equipment.

Our floors were badly damaged with stains and scratches. We could not replace the hardwoods because the surface under the hardwoods was concrete. CZ Becker was the only company (out of 5) willing to tackle our difficult floors at a reasonable price (one quote was for $20,000). They did a fantastic job. The floors are not perfect but we knew that they would not be able to fix everything. They did a great job matching the patches to our original floor. You would never know the floor was patched. They also matched a new floor in our hall. Our only complaint was that they damaged a kitchen cabinet during the process. All other issues were promptly resolved by management. They really worked hard to please us. We never thought our floors would turn out so well.

They did a great job. They did arrive on-time and they were very kind, polite and easy to work with. The price that they gave me was reasonable. I would recommend them again in the future.

I left a message on Sunday, got a call back on Monday, an estimate in a week (my delay), a start 10 days later, and a job completed a day early. The crew was on time, friendly, and professional. Instead of balking at the locally grown and milled Ash for the bathroom they were excited about working with something a little different. Altogether, a great experience.

The entire job took six workdays, with two workers here each day. The floors look wonderful. The repairs are absolutely unnoticeable. There is a slight coating of sawdust over everything, but this is unavoidable with any floor refinishing. I know the sanders used had vacuum attachments. The workers also covered doors and bookshelves. The sawdust can't be helped. The slight odor involved with the finishing was gone within a day.

They come promptly for a quote, showed up on time, gave good advice and completed all work on time. I was concerned if they could get into all the corners. They did an excellent job, even inside three cabinets. Our floors look like new. They did not make any damage and left the place clean, requiring only minor dusting of the walls. They also left 100 flat pads and some pouch up paint that I requested. I would request there service any time again. Great work!!
