I would definitely recommend their products. I had a fence built and I went with a local fencing company but unfortunately, their materials were shoddy and not really good so I ended up buying some of the products through Custom Cedar Products and I was very very happy with them. Their price was also actually cheaper than what the market rate was for those materials.

Mark Wyman's number was provided and he
was sent out to bid the job. He did this in July of 2012. I had had several
bids and his was not the lowest bid, and he stated he would give a 10% if he
could do the job in the winter of his slow time of the year. My fence was in
need of repair, but it was not falling over at that time. He estimated it would
be sometime in November.
So November rolls around and I had not heard from him. I placed several calls
and we finally connected. He said that he was working on other projects and he
would contact back in a couple of weeks. So In January, I called him again. and
he was able to set a time. A few days before the job was to start, he had to
cancel for another job that was taking longer than expected.
So he actually started the job the following week. He asked for 1/2 of the
funds up front and the remainder upon completion of the project.
I had asked that when he took down a portion of the fence that he put up a
barrier to keep the dogs from in and out of the neighbors yards. That did not
happen, I had to keep the dogs on a leash during the time he was working as he
did not block the open areas. The fence was not placed where the other fence
was located. It was above the level of the old fence which means that the dogs can
get under the fence. I asked him to lower it and he said that he would make
sure that it was ok when they were done with the job.
There was I would say over 1/2 of the fence that needed to have mulch placed to
keep the dogs from getting out.
There are some high areas of the fence that I guess you would not notice if you
did not have to look at them every day, that are higher, like going up a hill
and down again. The neighbors were not happy with the fence, so they have since
declined to pay their portion. So I am out the total amount.
Overall it is a fence and Mr Wyman put it in they way he wanted it and not what
I had asked for, The lumber is very good quality so far after a month of it
being in place.
I was not at all happy about the gate latches that he installed and I asked him
to change them. The locking mechanism he put on the outside of the fence not on
the inside. I asked him on several occasions after the job to turn them around.
He implied to me on the first call that he would have to think about that as it
would take him several hours to do that job. So he wanted to get back to me.
Well he did not call me back, so after a couple of weeks I called him again.
Explaining to him that this locking mechanism is not going to work for me and I
needed it fixed. I wanted the latch portion of the lock to be on the inside of
the fence not on the outside of the gate. It reduces the security factor. His
response was, that if someone wants to get in they will.
He returned my call and then told me that he did not know how he could turn the
locks around. He has installed these before and no one ever complained about
the locking mechanism being on the outside of the gate before. He said that he
would have to charge me for additional work. He suggested that I contact a locksmith
to change out the latch. I could not see a problem here the latches I had on
the gates before he replaced them were fine and on the inside of the gate not
outside of the fence.
I told him that this is not what I wanted, the latch on the inside of the
fence. He said that he could not help me. I have a written guarantee but he
still declines.
Therefore, I checked on the internet and found that he charged me $250 for the
latches, well on the internet they are only $54.00. Therefore, he made a great
profit here, and still will not correct the situation.
It does not give me a sense of security thanks to this contractor when the
latches can be easily accessed from the outside after his work on my gates.
Also, at the end of the job, he did not give me a 10% discount he only gave me
a 5% discount. He did not have this in writing, he did stated this over the
phone when he asked if I could wait until his slow time of the year. I did not
have it in writing for the total discount so he gave his 5%.

We purchased a cedar package for a large trellis system. The team at Cedar was friendly,knowledgable and easy to deal with. I wanted rough cedar including 8"x8" real 2x 12s real 3" x4" posts to support a large cedar trellis system. I was able to get beautiful wood from Canada in a couple of weeks. They delivered and helped me unload. The project I was able to build made a party we had for graduation a success.Our guests were blown away with the beauty of the cedar. Thank you for your help in making our project a success. We have since purchased cedar for fencing project. Once again beautiful wood and more important great customer service.

I shopped around and they were the best.

The prices are very good for the quality of lumber you get (you can choose from several levels) and their delivery was speedy, neat, and inexpensive.

I did get three different estimates. They were the middle estimate that I got. They were able to come out in the shortest amount of time. I felt like the fellow that came out was a little inappropriate, and I felt a little uncomfortable. However, we still went with them. It actually took them longer to come out to do the work, and they did not contact us in regards to this delay. When they finally came out for the job, there were some questions about where the posts were placed. They also showed different samples of the cedar on their website, and we had asked for a specific mid-grade type of cedar. We also asked them to install a gate that matched our neighbor's. The gate that they installed had a significant gap under it, and it took several phone calls from me to get them to fix it. They also needed to repair some boards that split. There were some mis-communications that happened. The owner finally contacted us and questioned our concerns. He finally came out and agreed that the quality was not good and re-built the gate, although this was several months later. I would never use them again in the future, even if they offered it for free. I believe the owner is a nice man, but he has some unsatisfactory workers.

After dealing with another "custom fencing" place we opted to buy our wood here. The quality of the cedar far surpasses the wood from the other place as well as the other larger lumber options in town. The selection is awesome & we were not limited to certain sizes. The boards are rough sewn on one side & smooth on the other. Duane was helpful in figuring what we needed, responded professionally & friendly to my nagging phone calls about delivery. Also, they don't "dump" when they deliver like the other guys. The driver was quick & stacked the wood incredibly neat. The only complaint is that I would have had to wait a week on getting 4 inch boards to be ripped so I ended up going with all 6 inch boards instead.

I picked this company because as I was soliciting bids on the job, they were willing to commit to a time frame when they would come to give the bid, and they were friendly on the phone. Estimates were within $50 of the two other bidders on a $2500 job. They showed up earlier than expected and built the fence quickly but professionally. They gave me good ideas for features on areas I was unsure of and actually encouraged me to purchase fewer extras than I had intended (which ended up being a good choice). The fence looks like new three years out now.

These guys are great. My work was done by Chris, the owner, and he did a terrific job. The entire experience from estimate to build was just perfect. I got several bids for this job and Custom Cedar Products came in about 20% less than all the others. Not only that, but they're very friendly, knowledgeable people who were very easy to work with. I wouldn't hesitate to use these guys again or recommend them to my friends and family.

The original estimate was much lower than any competitor, so we chose them. They were to build a standard fence, plus a small enclosure for garbage cans. I got home and the enclosure was 4 feet too long and 2 feet too wide. Plus, one side of the fence had the rails facing the street, and one side had rails facing the yard. They fixed the enclosure for free, but we still have one side of the fence that is backwards. Very disappointing.
