It was great. The only issue was that they didn't stick to a firm bid. He gave me a bid and later it went up by about $3000 or $4000. The work was really excellent, though. If I worked with him again I'd want him to stick to his bid.

Creel Construction was prompt, professional, and the work was done with high quality.  We would definitely hire them again.

Brad has a lot of experience with older homes.  All the new work blends perfectly with the original character of the house.  His crew and subs do the best quality work and are really nice to work with.  The job was clean, well organized, and done on schedule.  We were kept well-informed on costs throughout the project.  Costs on items in original scope were very close to estimates.  All of the permitting and city inspections went smoothly.  We're very happy with the results.

They were great. They were thoughtful, thorough and fair. They are a top notch company.

It turned out great. Brad, was particularly good at respecting the fact that he had to do work and we had to still live in our home at the end of the day even with all of the construction. I felt that he was sensitive to home owner needs. I have recommended them to others.

Brad Creel understands old homes and provides sound advice taking time to carefully walk through the entire project and advise on alternatives and priorities to accommodate budget limitations and still ensure high quality work.  He answered questions promptly and thoroughly, carefully explained why he chose individual sub contractors, walked through at least once a day and held his staff and subcontractors accountable for high quality work.  He kept us informed of cost differences from the estimate, both higher and lower than anticipated and carefully watched the bottom line in order to provide us full information for decision making about scope of work.

We have no reservations about the quality of services and were pleased with all aspects of the project.

Brad works essentially on a cost-plus basis (not fixed price). He is very straightforward about what he an his crew are up to, and has great employees and subs. This is a group of people that do high-quality work. They are not the cheapest, but they do it correctly and on a reasonable schedule.

I honestly have a hard time imagining doing this project without Brad and Creel Construction. They were total pros every step of the way, helped us work through some rather complex permitting issues, did fantastic work and came in right on budget. We had a tight budget and a good amount of do-it-yourself enthusiasm (if not expertise), and Brad helped us come up with a workable "blended" work plan. Managing most of the project as a general contractor, while helping us identify and plan the particular aspects of the project that we could manage or do ourselves. Early in the project, we ran into a couple major permitting headaches -- some shoddy work done by the previous owners, and a not-even-close-to-code staircase. Brad and Abram not only figured out a way to work through the issues, but they also kept the project on budget and kept us calm when we were worried about Development Services blowing up our well-laid plans! Brad responded extremely quickly whenever we called with concerns, and was always patient in answering our questions. In addition, we were impressed with, and felt comfortable with, each and every one of his work crew and subcontractors. They did an excellent job of prep and cleanup, minimizing the impact on the rest of the house, kept the project well-coordinated and on schedule, and were both personable and trustworthy.
