Edgar and his crew did a wonderful job. Several walls needed some cracks repaired and the edges were tricky. HIs crew showed up on time every day, the prep work was thorough, they cleaned up after themselves and the final paint job--involving two or three colors in a a couple of rooms, is excellent. His price was fair for the work done and I will definitely be asking them to come back to paint the upstairs next.

Cortes Painting Inc. is a very good company to work with. Edgar Cortes helped us plan our exterior painting project and Orlando did an excellent job painting. He cleaned up eveything before and after painting and our house looks great. We highly recommend their work.

Edgar was very responsive and arrived quickly to give an estimate, which was very reasonable compared to other estimates we had received. His colleague, Orlando did the painting and we are so delighted with the results and the excellent quality. Edgar and Roberto were friendly and professional. They did a beautiful job covering a boarder that was done with thick paint over the old paint. I was very happy with their work and will hire them again for future painting needs.

Edgar and his crew did an excellent job. We needed some siding replaced and they did an excellent job even though it wasn't easy finding replacement they came through. Edgar is very easy to work with goes above and beyond to make sure the job is done right. Would absolutely hire him again and again. The guys were really hard working and always on time and ready to work. I really appreciated their effort and our house looks really nice. Quality control and communication was excellent.

Price quoted was average.  Work started as agreed but finished one working day late leading to a weekend of inconvenience.
There were several quality issues:
1.  The painter damaged ceramic tiles that had recently been re-glazed a cost of $550.  This was a tape and removal issue.
2.  The painter missed spots where the painted fireplace joined the wall leading to homeowner touch-up.
3.  In one bath, blue wall paint was bled over into the white bath area ceiling (poor edge work).
4.  One bath vanity had dark spot bleed through, probably due to improper cleaning prep prior to painting.
5.  One stairway wall edge was scuffed by painter/equipment.
6.  Left a voice mail message with Edgar Cortes on Thursday, Jan 28, there were quality issues to be fixed.  He never bothered to return call or visit the house.  After seeing pics that were emailed to Cortes, Cortes agreed with my assessment that the work was "shoddy" and offered to come out himself to repair, but at that point, we were just "done with it" and didn't want anymore disruption and issues.
Miracle Method of Portland returned on Feb 10 to repair the glazing damage and did a great job at no charge.  Any cost would have been deducted from Cortes' balance due.
In fairness to Cortes, much of the work done was excellent, but this work crew is probably better suited to commercial/industrial applications, and not residential work.  There are over 220 certified painters on the Portland BBB website, why take a chance with this one if your residential site requires attention to detail, responsiveness to complaints  and overall high quality?

This is a wonderful painting company. Their work was flawless and they left no mess.

Price was fair, work quality was excellent, and the job was completed in a timely manner. Edgar Cortes is the best painter I've ever worked with. Highly recommended.
We are selling our home and needed to make some improvements before listing the property. Edgar was recommended by our realtor, and I only wish I'd known about him and his crew earlier. Our job was complex, and our requirements changed as the job progressed. Edgar was flexible, helpful, and a complete pleasure to work with. His crew were equally courteous and professional. Although the job was - of necessity - disruptive to our daily lives, Edgar and his crew did their best to minimize the impact on our family, cleaning up every day and graciously tolerating our occasional interruptions and changes of plan. Best of all, the crew were clearly happy to be working - we enjoyed listening to their music, singing, and laughter during the entire project.

We felt the price was very fair for the amount and quality of the work performed, I got a second quote before deciding on Cortez Painting, the second companies quote was $1,000 more for the same amount of painting. The entire project was around 4 days and we were very pleased with the outcome! I would definitely hire Edgar and his crew again for our next painting project!

WOW!! I have an eye for detail, and these guys are amazing!! The exactness of their lines where two colors met, or where the wall meets the molding are incredible!! My interior designer loves these guys SO much, she has flown them to do the painting when she had a job in NY, and now I get why! Super friendly, fun to have around. Professional, friendly, cleaned up great. Totally recommend Edgar and his team.
