Cookman's Backflow Testing

My backflow did not pass inspection.  Valve needed to be fixed or replaced.  Everyone I called wanted to replace at a cost from $400 to $1000. Mr Cookman came by and took a look and said the valve was good just needed some minor repairs that he did right away. Best of all the cost--$75.  I will be contacting him for my inspection next year.

They were on time, and needed to complete the work when we were not home.  They were very easy to work with and I am about to contact them again for this year's test.

I called on Friday and asked for my backflow to be tested. He came over on Sunday with his two super nice dogs. He was very friendly, polite and clearly knew what he was doing. He checked my backflow and everything was ok. He was very professional, polite and I enjoyed our conversation too. The whole experience was excellent. I will use him again next year.

Ellis Cookman, the owner of Cookman's Backflow, did a wonderful job.  He replaced a faulty backflow valve we had.  He worked meticulously and didn't disturb our landscaping.  He cleaned the site after he finished.  He provided the city with the necessary paperwork for us. Just perfect.  He is very knowledgeable, professional and great to work with.   We are very thankful that we found him on Angie's list and highly recommend him.

He tested our existing irrigation system, adivsed us as to the advantages of installing valve. Together we decided to have a valve installed, he performed the work in a timely fashion. Price seemed fair. Mr. Cookman is a very congenial fellow and was an absolute joy to work with. Will not hesitate to contact him again if I think he can help with any of our irrigation or plumbing needs.

When I called, I talked to Ellis' wife who was friendly and courteous. She said that Ellis would fit me into his schedule within the next two weeks. When he came by, I happened to be home. He gave me the bill in person, and told me my device passed. He would forward the test results to the water district. Overall, a pleasant and smooth experience. I will have Cookman's check my backflow next year too.

Excellent. Returned my call immediately and came out to test within a day. Professional, friendly, timely and reasonable. Can't ask for more than that!

He came when his wife said he would, and he came to the door first so that I would know who was in the yard. He did the test and gave me an invoice which I paid at once, but he would have been happy to bill me if I preferred. He was very pleasant. He and his wife are the company and have been doing this many years. I found it a real pleasure doing business with them--totally satisfying from start to finish. I recommend them very highly and think they should get an Angie's List award.

I'm glad that I was at home to personally meet Ellis; he is a great guy as he shared a plethora of "free" info with me, and is wonderful to work with.

Timely service, no hassles. Sent in the report to the city for us.
