Cliff came out and took some measurements for my new driveway. He said he'd get back to me within a couple days with his estimate. 5 days went by and I didn't hear anything so I called cliff...never did get a return call or estimate after several attempts.

The whole process went better than expected. Cliff gave me an estimate. I compared the estimate with other costs for similar projects. I selected Cliff's Concrete Service because of good reports from Angie's List and my interview with Cliff. He did outstanding work. He explained everything that was happening during the job. He cleaned everything up at the end of every day. Normally I would not pay the final payment to a contractor before a job is done, but I did with Cliff. This is the only time in my life I have done this. I did it because I could see Cliff had a high degree of interest in doing a top quality job. He is extremely honest. He told me he has been in business for 30 years and I can see why he is successful.

I called and wanted some new concrete poured and some foundation around the garage repaired. He said, he didn't do repair work, only new pouring. I said fine, no problem, I'd find someone else. However, I had a co-worker who sits right next to me, who had another concrete contractor completely flake out on a job, she had scheduled. I told her to call this guy since, she needed only new concrete poured. When I asked, her how it worked out, she said she was not happy, because he canceled the meeting to provide a bid TWICE. Both times, because of family-fun options, he decided he wanted to do instead. Then he decided, he didn't want to drive to Beaverton (from SE Pdx) afterall to bid on the job, all after setting expectations, that he would be out to bid over the long holiday weekend.

Cliff was wonderful to work with. He worked with me in the final design of the steps, paying careful attention to ensure that the new work fit in with the style of my home, a Cape Cod bungalow. He was on time, pleasant to work with, respectful of my garden, and cleaned up the site each time he came. Although he had to delay the final pouring on several days because of rain, Cliff kept me informed of the delays and why it was important not to pour in the rain. The steps provide an inviting approach to my front door and I couldn't be happier. His price was reasonable and the result deserves four stars.****

Cliff did an amazing job! From our first contact to view site and prepare estimate, Cliff was punctual and professional. The work was completed on time and within budget with an extremely high level of quality and attention to detail. In process of demolition, unexpected footing conditions were discovered which required additional work to resolve. Cliff provided detailed information on proposed changes which we agreed upon before proceeding with work. This work was incorporated into original schedule (thanks to several long days with Cliff and his helper) to allow project to finish on time. I would not hesitate to recommend Cliff to any interested parties.

I was interested in replacing my concrete garage floor. I called Cliff and he came right over to give me a quote. I was impressed with his humility, knowledge and obvious experience. He pointed out challenges in the job (which no other person who quoted noticed). He clearly was capable of performing well in replacing the floor. Unfortunately, Cliff's workload did not allow him to accept the work. To his credit, instead of giving me a high quote or not telling me the truth, Cliff apologetically telephoned that evening and explained that he could not do the work, so would not quote it.

Cliff was terrific. He arranged his initial meeting and end-of-job meeting around my work schedule. The work was done on time and as quoted, even though he found that the slab had been poured on uneven ground and was much thicker on on edge. This meant a lot more work and a lot more concrete. He arranged for the dump unit in the front of my house to be removed the next day. The result was a spotless area of dirt with no debris left behind. Cliff also called me the next day to make sure I was happy with the work. I was!

Cliff did a very good job under difficult conditions. The weather refused to cooperate, causing a lot of delay, but Cliff was very conscientious, keeping us updated as to every development and making sure that the project was completed as quickly and efficiently as the weather would allow. We would hire him again.

Cliff was great. He was on time, very friendly, and takes a lot of pride in his work. The work done was excellent. We would definitely hire him again.

I wish everyone we hire could be as honest, nice, polite and skilled as Cliff. He also treats his helpers good.
