They are very knowledgeable. They are good in troubleshooting. They are experienced. They are good people. They are busy in spring time, so they may not be able to respond the way you want to, but they do very well.

I've had my bike into Cheshire a few times. Each time has been a great experience. Daric is a stellar guy and runs a super tight ship. He's always taken the time to stop and talk with me even when they were totally slammed. His estimates have been good, and his prices are reasonable. When he's had to put in extra time beyond the estimate, he's split the difference with me. Turnaround time is super fast. Most importantly, he won't go for cheap fixes! He recommends the best parts because he knows they'll last and keep you safe and running strong. His crew also seem knowledgeable and respectful.

I took the bike in for a level 1 service. When giving the bike a once over, Daric noticed some evidence of a fluid leak around the final drive boot, so we added a deeper inspection to the service. The seals in question are a known issue. The next day I received a call informing me of what needed to be added to the service to fix the seal problem and that he wold need the bike for an extra day. These bikes have a known issue with surging and mine does suffer a bit from it. When I picked up the bike it ran absolutely smoothly. I've only put about 600 miles on over the winter , but so far the engine has maintained its smoothness.

There are two methods to grease the spline, an easy one where you just pull back the transmission just far enough to slop some lube onto the spline or the full disassembly of the entire rear end of the motorcycle. He gave me a reasonable estimate for the easier task, but ended up doing the full job for the same price. As a result, I got a higher quality job performed in that the spline was completely cleaned and well lubed. I visited while they were working on it and could tell they were doing a professional job. It is rare that I find no bolt out of place or new nick in the paint after a mechanic works on my bike, but Cheshire treated my bike like a collectors item. There were absolutely no issues, or nicks in the paint. I feel fortunate to have a small independent shop of high quality in Portland area.

I was referred to this shop by a friend from work. I had dropped the motorcycle in a parking lot and wanted a decent mechanic to look over the bike and recommend what services were needed to get the motorcycle back into working order. They were very busy the day that I brought the motorcycle into check it out. I was surprised how he was able to address all the customers that were waiting in the garage for service. He quickly addressed the issues with the dropped motorcycle and he recommended that nothing was wrong with the motorcycle that was worth servicing, but in his process, he identified critical problems with the throttle that I noticed but wasn't aware of that the last two mechanics had missed in the past year. They ordered parts and had the motorcycle back in working order in a reasonably quick amount of time considering the work involved. They identified problems the original owner created before I purchased the motorcycle and were able to prevent them from happening again. I picked up the motorcycle less than 2 weeks after I dropped it off and it ran better than it have seen it run in all the years I've owned it.
