Check Maid Cleaning

Great convenience. Mixed quality. Weird pricing system that can make them a total bargain or a total rip-off, depending on your house. I wanted so much to like these guys - their business model makes so much sense, order yourself up a housecleaning online, whenever you need one, or schedule it recurring. I have never seen a cleaning service with online appointment booking before and that seemed great. Unfortunately underneath their flat rate pricing is a very bizarre understanding of how houses work. As the woman who I spoke with today explained, a three bedroom house will always have more living space than a two bedroom house. Which would make total sense if it were true. This is Portland. Your three-bedroom house could be a third the size of your neighbor's three-bedroom house. They would want you both to pay the same amount EVEN IF you don't want your third bedroom cleaned. (Oh they will give you a "Discount" for skipping that room but it's so small it's a joke.) So... if you have medium-large rooms, your living spaces are large in ratio to your bed/bath count, and your house is more or less conventional... no unused rooms, no finished basement, no ambiguous spaces like offices or dens... these guys might be an option, particularly if you value convenience over quality and price. If you have an older home with small rooms, if you have a lot of bedrooms in relationship to your living space, if you only want part of your house cleaned, or if you have any kind of unusual situation, then their very rigid pricing structure may make them exorbitant. They want to charge me is 2-3 times what I have ever paid another cleaner so I had to stop after one visit. The quality was decent. They missed a lot of things - I'm still finding cobwebs and patches of dust - far from a perfect clean but I've seen worse.
