If you decide to have us adjust that one shade, please give us a call and we would be happy to. We have so many choices of vendors and all their eco-friendly solutions are constantly being updated. This is a training topic we are focusing on with our whole staff since it is very current and important. Eco friendly can mean a variety of things from bio-degradable to natural fabrics to R-factor insulation for heat and cold. Thank you again!"
Fabrication & installation took about two weeks. One blind was mis-measured; they fixed it & installed it a week later.
Overall great, wonderful warranty for the product.
The only negative was sometimes getting through on the phone -- people weren't available and I had to make repeated phone calls. But all were professional, polite, and responsive once I got them on the phone.

The service with Budget Blinds went pretty well. The sales person was very thorough and was giving us options. They were professional. I would probably use them again.
Richard Maryatt promptly came to our home and listened to what we wanted (new blinds through the entire house) very carefully. He carefully measured everything while we looked at his book of samples. He was very helpful with giving us advice on what type of blind to choose and the size of the slats. The estimate he provided was explained to us very well. The blinds were later installed. We love how they look! And we feel like we have a new home! I recommend this business very very highly.
As promised, Michelle (one of the owners) called back to clarify the issue. She said she had a conversation with me about the windows being too large and we would have to pay an additional $80/window for an extra part to use the top down, bottom up feature (our windows are quite large). Problem is, she never had that conversation with me. If she had, we would have gone with the upgrade. She told me that she had it in her notes that she spoke to us about that issue, but obviously that's something I would remember. After we got off the phone, I looked up on my call log (cell phone) to see if there was any incoming calls from that business, and there were none. I rarely use my phone for actual calls, so it was easy to see that a call was never made on the date she said she made it.
In the end, I'm satisfied with our purchase, the top down, bottom up feature was going to be a free bonus, but I was unhappy with the way I was spoken to on the phone. It was her word against mine, nothing I could have done, but if we use them again, I will be sure to get everything in writing.
"(Member name removed), I am very disappointed and to hear your dissatisfaction with my service. As I mentioned on the phone when we talked, that I am very sorry that these shades were not available with standard cords, top down bottom up, because of the oversize width of the shades. I did not catch the limitation (my mistake) until I was placing the order, which I stopped until I was able to verify with you the extra cost involved, and give you the option, which then was changed to bottom up only with cords on the right. We would have had to upgrade to a specialty lifting system to add the feature, which I quoted. You received the feature for free in addition to the new homeowner coupon of 25% off. So in this case I combined offers to make these shades as affordable as possible. They still priced out better than our other brands because of that. I do have a note on my order with the date that we did have a phone conversation. I do not remember the phone I used to call you. It may very well have been my cell phone, and not the office phone. We both seem to have different recollections of events and I am not sure what else I can do at this point to reconcile your disappointment.
