Wade Bruner, answered the call in the morning and with all the rain Portland was having, took time out of his schedule to fix a problem in 15 minutes flat. The family unit is back together and if you don't use him, I'm sorry for you!!
Thank you Wade and all at Bruner Plumbing.

When I called them to explain what had happened, they were sorry, but weren't wiling to accept any responsibility for what happened. They refused to cover any of the cleanup/dryout cost ($1700 from ServePro) and wouldn't even come out to fix the problem without charging another full service charge. Talking with the owner about it a few times on the phone, he was totally unsympathetic and incredulous that I suggest they do anything about it, even losing his temper when pressed.
The plumber I ended up hiring to fix the drain hose (who was very good) even noticed that the gentleman from Bruner hadn't fully tightened the lock ring on the unit, which could have caused it to leak down the road.
Update (1/20/16) After almost 3 months of having no success with Angie's List or the BBB, the Contractor's Board brought a resolution to this matter: Bruner promptly refunded the full amount of the cleanup. I appreciate their professionalism with this aspect of the incident.
"While we can empathize with (member name removed), we do no feel he is justified in holding us responsible for this event. We were hired to install a garbage disposal. Our installation was done according to code, we tested the work, and we would have warranted that work if the disposal had leaked. Whoever installed the dishwasher in its remote location ran the line behind the cabinets so it was out of sight from where we were working. Apparently the line wasn't coupled correctly but we had no way of knowing the connection was faulty. Nor do we know if it has ever been a problem before. We respond to our customers promptly and could have offered advice if (member name removed) had called us immediately. Rather than mopping up the water and drying out the space himself, he hired a restoration company and then notified us as if he assumed we would pay for it. When he requested that we return to install a new dishwasher line, we were willing to do so. To our way of thinking, it is unreasonable to expect us to cover the cost of this one-time water event or to have expected us to perform additional work without compensation."
Very knowledgeable and professional. Technician was very quick and provided excellent explanations of things.
Very Impressive.
Scheduling a little difficult, but everyone is very busy right now. Definitely would use again and would recommend to friends.
Fixtures purchased from Bruner's after selecting at George Morlan
could have said: " we are replacing a metal pipe w/ a plastic pipe and you will need to reground the line." now i will have to have the inspector come again. since i flunked.
not happy.
This group on plumbers are the best! This is the third time I've used them and each time they come early, do what I need to get done with minimal direction and leave with the area they worked in spic and span clean!
The employee who came today was the one who installed the sink almost three years ago and remembered my then 21 year old cat enough to ask about her!
These guys are definitely my "peeps" for plumbing...............
