Bruner Plumbing is simply outstanding. I their bid was not the lowest (not the highest either), but I am SO GLAD we choose them! They worked really well with our other contractors (Tile, etc.), and when they discovered some problems with the way our soaking tub was going to be installed, the put in extra work to work around the issues the *correct* way. They don't take short-cuts, they do the job right the first time. One thing you don't realize is how important communication is. At several points for the tub and shower, they stopped and discussed with us to make sure they installed everything exactly the way we wanted (often pointing out issues we hadn't anticipated). And their final bill came in right on the estimate, despite extra work we know that they put in to make the job perfect. We had another contractor that was a nightmare, what a relief to work with Bruner! We can't recommend them highly enough! Outstanding!

Job was great! Arrived on time. Very efficient in completing the work. We had work done at two houses within a block of each other. After job at second house was completed we wanted to have the kitchen drain at the first house checked. Technician gladly went back to check, reassuring us that everything was good. No extra charge. Very pleased with the technician and the work done.

Went great - We called several placed and they were competitively priced. We had to schedule out a couple weeks, but that was fine. It wasn't an emergency. The technician was great.

Wade Bruner, answered the call in the morning and with all the rain Portland was having, took time out of his schedule to fix a problem in 15 minutes flat.  The family unit is back together and if you don't use him, I'm sorry for you!!

Thank you Wade and all at Bruner Plumbing.

Bruner Plumbing provided outstanding service.  I called 5 plumbers on Monday who said they couldn't help me until after Thanksgiving.  When I called Bruner they diagnosed that they needed the utility companies to mark and they offered to get that process going.  Once that part was done (2 days) they quickly completed all of the plumbing repair work on Wednesday.  I would definitely use them again!

I hired Bruner plumbing to install a garbage disposal for me. The gentleman was very nice and the price was reasonable. However, when hooking up the dishwasher drain to the unit, he (I assume) accidentally applied too much force to the tube, disconnecting the drain. The next time we ran the dishwasher, it flooded under and behind the cabinets.
When I called them to explain what had happened, they were sorry, but weren't wiling to accept any responsibility for what happened. They refused to cover any of the cleanup/dryout cost ($1700 from ServePro) and wouldn't even come out to fix the problem without charging another full service charge. Talking with the owner about it a few times on the phone, he was totally unsympathetic and incredulous that I suggest they do anything about it, even losing his temper when pressed.
The plumber I ended up hiring to fix the drain hose (who was very good) even noticed that the gentleman from Bruner hadn't fully tightened the lock ring on the unit, which could have caused it to leak down the road.

Update (1/20/16) After almost 3 months of having no success with Angie's List or the BBB, the Contractor's Board brought a resolution to this matter: Bruner promptly refunded the full amount of the cleanup. I appreciate their professionalism with this aspect of the incident.
Response from Bruner Plumbing Inc
"While we can empathize with (member name removed), we do no feel he is justified in holding us responsible for this event. We were hired to install a garbage disposal. Our installation was done according to code, we tested the work, and we would have warranted that work if the disposal had leaked. Whoever installed the dishwasher in its remote location ran the line behind the cabinets so it was out of sight from where we were working. Apparently the line wasn't coupled correctly but we had no way of knowing the connection was faulty. Nor do we know if it has ever been a problem before. We respond to our customers promptly and could have offered advice if (member name removed) had called us immediately. Rather than mopping up the water and drying out the space himself, he hired a restoration company and then notified us as if he assumed we would pay for it. When he requested that we return to install a new dishwasher line, we were willing to do so. To our way of thinking, it is unreasonable to expect us to cover the cost of this one-time water event or to have expected us to perform additional work without compensation."

The guy who did the work was very professional and polite. He checked in with me when he was doing something. He did forget to remove a stopper on the dishwasher and when I attempted to run it wouldn't drain, but someone came right over the next day and fixed it. Not a big deal and they were very accommodating to get it fixed. I highly recommend them and will use them again.

This group on plumbers are the best!  This is the third time I've used them and each time they come early, do what I need to get done with minimal direction and leave with the area they worked in spic and span clean!

The employee who came today was the one who installed the sink almost three years ago and remembered my then 21 year old cat enough to ask about her!

These guys are definitely my "peeps" for plumbing...............

Ian and the gang at Bruner are great people. They get in and get the job done. I am going to have them re-plumb the rest of the house. They called after they finished the master bath and said that they were going to give me back $650 because they had overestimated the labor. Incredible!

The guys who worked on my job were good guys to work with.  They know what they are doing, make smart decisions, and do quality work.  I am now completing the finish plumbing and there have been no issues with the rough-in Bruner did.  They are responsive to calls and questions.  I would recommend them and use them again.

Chis called and asked if he could come a little early, I said I was at lunch, so he came at the scheduled time. He asked if I had any concerns. I explained about an under sink leak that we couldn't detect the source. He removed and replace the garbage disposal and re-plumbed the under sink drain pipes, repaired the Delta kitchen sink faucet. Great job, faster than the initial estimate and for less money! Thank you Chris and Bruner Plumbing.
