Bridgetown Moving & Storage

The Bridgetown crew of Al, Chino and George, arrived right on time and we did a walk through. We discussed suggestions Al offered and they immediately got to work. These guys are awesome! They were extremely efficient, we were amazed how fast they were able to load and unload the truck, all the while being very careful with the furniture, appliances and boxes. I can't say enough how much we appreciate the great work these guys did and they were very friendly, courteous and professional. I would definitely hire again and I highly recommend!

These guys were nothing short of amazing! I had a difficult situation a few months before with my husband moving out with most of the furniture without my knowledge while I was gone for the day, leaving my home in a big mess. It was an incredibly stressful situation and I had to move all of my stuff to storage in order to sell the house. I had all kinds of difficult things to pack such as fragile lamps, large pictures, and all kinds of glass items, plus a ton of really bulky equipment for my dogs. Since I was going through a divorce, I needed all of my boxes of paper records to be readily available within the storage unit so that I could get things out of them when necessary for my attorney. I felt like I was going crazy, but Bridgetown reassured me that they could help me and for a very reasonable rate. I also had no idea how big of a storage unit to rent, so they helped me with figuring out a size for that, too. (I should note that I used another storage place other than Bridgetown only because I needed frequent access to my belongings for an indefinite amount of time, otherwise I would have used Bridgetown for storage, too.) Al, the head mover of the 3-person team who were assigned to me, called me the morning of the move and told me exactly when he would be there. He was on time and politely introduced me to my team. I explained to them, with a few tears, what happened and how I needed them to help me pack the remainder of my stuff before they could load everything into their truck. They finished packing me within a few hours and expertly labeled each box. They were very cost conscious, so they used my own supply of packing materials first before resorting to their own. Another hour later and everything left in the house that was mine was loaded into the truck. By then, it was lunchtime, but they decided not to take a break. They drove straight to my storage unit and then went over their plan for the best way to store my things. I told them my need for getting into my paper file boxes easily, but that I didn't need any of the heavy items, like furniture or kitchen stuff until I moved out of storage in the future. In less than 2 hours, they had unloaded everything and neatly stacked everything in my storage unit which included leaving me a small path in the middle to enable me to easily access what I would need for my divorce. Honestly, I don't know how they knew how to do something so fitting to my needs, but they were completely amazing! All of this was done in 5 hours which included the drive from rural Clark County, Washington, to Portland, and the price was incredibly reasonable. Honestly, I don't know if I could have gotten through this really difficult part of my life transition without Bridgetown and their wonderful gracious, kind, hard-working, expert staff. I will definitely use them again when I am on the other side of my life transition when I finally have another home of my own.

The two movers called us 30 minutes before arrival and were right on time. We did a quick walkthrough of the apartment and they got right to work. I was amazed at how quickly and efficiently they emptied our apartment of boxes and furniture! I had considered dismantling our bed to save time, but was glad I let them do it in about five minutes. After another quick walkthrough at our new home, they were even faster unloading our things. They carefully laid down neoprene pads to avoid scratching our new hardwood floors. They also patiently asked where we wanted things. Both movers were incredibly polite and careful with our belongings. Highly recommended!

It went smoothly with two trucks and four movers. They arrived right on time and worked hard moving and placing a big household of furniture. Elias, Gino, Jr., and Domingo Evan were focused and very professional. We really appreciate the service they provided.

Longer than expected - but there were 3 flights of stairs on one end, and 1 flight on the other.

They arrived in the window they said and seemed very attentive on the walk through. The staging and loading of boxes went very well but it was downhill from there. What should have taken 3-3 1/2 hours to load took 5 1/2. The man in charge of arranging the truck really seemed to struggle with making the puzzle work. He had to move and rearrange countless times and near the end he often stood looking at the stuff in confusion. There were items we ended up having to take in our personal vehicles even though there should have been plenty of room on the truck. We had a bike rack and two bicycles that I told them had to go on the truck but at the end those were set off to the side. When I asked why another mover indicated we could just take those on our car. I had to let them know we didn't yet have a hitch on this car which is why I told them they bikes had to go on the truck. So...off came stuff and the rearranging began again. Even the unloading of the truck seemed to take more time than we thought it would...we even helped unload the garage boxes they provided. This company gets great reviews and I had high expectations. All in all I was extremely disappointed. I will not use them again. One final note. When they called they next day to get my payment information, I relayed my frustration with the experience. I felt it had taken at least 2 hours longer than it should have. After some internal discussion, they called back and said they would only charge me for 6 hours instead of the 8 hours it had taken them to do the job. This impressed me and I told them so. It's not enough to convince me to use them again but it was impressive customer service.

The 3 movers were polite, respectful, efficient, and very hard working. Kudos to them for the job they did. It was very stressful for us and they made it way less painful.

Phenomenal. For something so stressful, these guys were on time, professional, and extremely hard working. They didn't let up for a minute. It was well staffed, and would hire again and will next time I move.

My parents, my brother and I had a complicated, musical chairs-type move expertly handled by Bridgetown Moving. We had furniture, appliances and other belongs moved out of and into my parents' place in Lake Oswego and the storage area above my brother's office in Hillsboro, and into my brother's newly-remodeled house in Portland. Fortunately, Dad hired two huge moving trucks and four amazingly strong and careful men from an excellent local moving company, Bridgetown Moving. Fernando, Matt, Mason, and Nathaniel did a wonderful job! They were very organized, methodical, and professional. My parents, my brother and his wife, and I are very happy with the job they did for us.

They were great. We had two different crews the two different days, and both of them were very nice and did a great job. I have a large antique mirror and an 8-foot antique dining room table that I was nervous about, but there were no problems. They covered all my furniture and pictures in blankets to move it out. When they brought it back in, I asked them to turn things on their sides at first so I could put furniture pads on the legs of everything, and they did that very efficiently and without anything getting damaged. I'm very pleased with their work.

Arrived 2 hours late. Took lots of breaks during packing. Friendly; some kitchen items were not properly wrapped and got broken during the transition. Cheap, available, ok

Bridgetown was excellent! They were careful with our fragile things and moved heavy items very deftly to avoid scraping any of our freshly painted walls. The hustle our two movers had was very impressive.

This is probably the 10th time in about 15 years that I've moved with professional movers (wow, I am so excited to stop doing this!), and I think this was about the smoothest move I've ever had. Bridgetown called to confirm the day prior, and the morning of the move. They arrived promptly at the beginning of the window they'd provided. The moving crew was awesome - very friendly, very professional. They arrived fully informed that they'd be helping me to pack (I had completed about 75% of the house, but still needed help with 25%, including all my breakable dishes). They were able to use my leftover boxes, as well as the 5 free wardrobes, to minimize my costs on packing materials. They whole team worked extremely quickly, and were very careful with my furniture. I had no damage to any of my furniture or belongings, which is outstanding. In addition, they were very careful with my new home. One of the crew members even called me upstairs to point out that I have soft-wood floors in the master bedroom, and to show me some damage that had been caused by the prior owners' furniture. He suggested that before he assembled the bed frame, I should apply felt pads to the furniture, to prevent any further floor damage. I was very grateful, and impressed! Even including the packing, the guys worked so quickly, that I came in under budget. I couldn't be happier! I would highly recommend Bridgetown. Thanks again :)

Amazing - they did such a good job. Couldn't be happier.

They were very hard working.  They did what they said they were going to do, but they lost some of my items.  They did cut me a check for the items that were lost.  I just don't understand how they got lost in the first place, that is my issue, but they did take care of me.
