I postponed this investment for several years and paid to have my snow tires mounted/dismounted twice a year. Sure glad I finally bought four more rims! Gordon helped me find them at a good price, too.

Bridgetown was recommended by America's Tire to perform an alignment for a car I had bought for my daughter. I made an
appointment and showed up on time at their facility in Sellwood. I was told over the phone that I it would take 45 minutes. When I got there the receptionist informed me that lunch was late that day and that they would get to me as soon as possible. They didn't get my car in to be looked at until over an hour had passed and by the time I left I had spent over 2 hours waiting for the vehicle. They said they were performing a free checklist of possible problems as well. When it came time to leave I was given papers and sent on my way. No mechanic explained anything to me about the alignment results or the check list. The receptionist told me the car still pulled to the right and probably the tire was bad. When I got home and called my mechanic, he asked me for the data on the alignment, which I then noticed had not been given to me. Also, no one went over the problems found on the "check list" and I still can't read the writing of whomever made it out. I should have looked more carefully at what was given to me but I was late and in a rush, and no one volunteered to help. The place was frenetic, and I won't go back.

We have been using Bridgetown for four years for oil changes, tire rotation and balancing, front end alignment, and motor work. We have always been pleased with their service. They are very friendly, reliable, easy to schedule appointments, and they are trustworthy. They will not charge you for work that does not need to be done.

I have used Chris, owner of Bridgetown Automotive, for over 20 years. I would not even consider going to any other mechanic. His customer service, quality of work and HONESTY about your mechanical issue is beyond question. He never tries to upsell you and always suggests the most practical solution to your cars problem. In the Portland area, there is no mechanic who is better. I know I am not the only one who has been a loyal customer for Bridgetown for over 20 years.

My daughter uses this garage and referred them to me. I called early on a Monday morning right after New Year's holiday because the "service engine" light was on and engine was running very rough... I was panicked. Gordon at Bridgetown put me at ease and offered to come get the auto. A few hours later he called to explain what the problem was and I authorized them to do the work. The job was finished on time and the car now runs great.
