Not great. They arrived late to start things off. My house was tidy and picked up when they arrived to make things run smooth. Out of the 4 br they only cleaned 2. The job was incomplete ... floors not done, surfaces not wiped and trash not taken out. 1.5 hours with 2 people is plenty of time to clean my house. I’m not sure what they were doing!!

Excellent work. They encountered unexpected problems left by other workers and dealt with them very well, even though it required extra time. They responded to all our inquiries.

I was specifically looking for a service that seemed to treat its cleaners fairly and kept a staff large enough that they would be reliable, and Bridge City came through. I realize that means rates are a bit higher, but its worth it to me. Whenever there's any change to the schedule, I get an email and/or call. Their teams of 3-4 are fast, which is nice when I work at home, so my schedule is minimally disrupted. We had a few concerns about cleaning at first, but it was easy to give feedback, and they handled it cheerfully and professionally, and all is good now, which is the best you can really get in home cleaning.

Wood floors needed mopping, bathroom exhaust fans still had accumulation of dust in the covering, refrigerator removable glass drawer tops had not been removed when wiping out the fridge (but noted, I'm not sure if a fridge cleaning was part of the deal).  A large "soft clog" (plumber's words) appeared in the main sewer pipe after this cleaning and made necessary an expensive call to the plumber to unblock it; we can't prove that they flushed some things down the toilet that they shouldn't have, but we have our suspicions.  Money's spent, we'd rather just forge the whole thing.  If we could prove this, Overall Service Experience would be F.

1920s home. Started with their being unable to get into the lock backed gate. My fault. I got back to them an hour after they called, worried that they couldn't then do the cleaning I so much needed. They came back.

I came home to a sparkling, clean, great smelling home. And I'm sensitive to odors.

The first thing I did was run my finger over a few spots for dust, since that was the big test for me. All clean. Lights, corners, edges, perfectly clean. All the weird little places I asked Peggy to have done, clean.

I bristle at perfume smells. They use good, natural products as practical.

Turned on the oven clean setting the night before, and came home to an oven/stove that's as good as it could possibly look.

Stainless steel appliances? I have tried to make them look as good as they made them, and never could. They look new again.

Kitchen and bathroom - white tile? Hate it, but haven't replaced it yet. They did a great job.

The team that cleaned our home did a thorough, excellent job. I only wish I'd hired them years ago.

They have poor attention to detail. Only lightly clean areas. Peggy defends her staff. she told me it harder to clean a small house. I have another house and a commercial space that are bigger. They are cleaned by one and two member crews with far more detail and cost less.

Bridge City/ Home Tek is hands down the best cleaning service I have ever used. I have hired cleaners from craigslist from time to time and even hired one for bi-weekly cleaning. Bridge City always does an amazing job and is not afraid of using "elbow grease" to clean grout. They will not charge extra for making beds or washing windows. Never have I had such awesome cleaners!

They are very flexible about scheduling. They have been willing to reschedule without any difficulty or penalty. They are punctual, quick, and professional. I will continue to use their services.

They have come a number of times now to clean our house. We get three people working for an hour each, or three hours total at $25 per hour. In theory it should work well, but our home is never really clean. They use the SWIFFER EVERYTHING approach, which isn't real cleaning. (By contrast, we used to have two women clean for us before we moved to Portland, and they pretty much used water and elbow grease, maybe some windex and a nontoxic all-purpose cleaner, left us with a bucketful of dirty rags to wash each week, and the house was spotless, windows and all.) Not the case with Home Tek/Bridge City -- and I have to say I am pretty laid back about this stuff normally. I complained to Peggy and gave her a detailed list of everything that wasn't getting cleaned. things like a glob of baby food on the front of my nightstand that no one cleaned off in over three visits, a big braid of cobweb that hung down in your face when you walked in the bedroom, the brand new white kitchen sink developed a yellow cast from not being scrubbed out. I scrubbed it myself and it was sparkling white again with about 30 seconds of work. Furniture only got dusted on the tops, never on the legs or in the nooks and crannies. We'd get milk drops dried on the floor that they would never mop up because a quick swiffing doesn't do it. They wouldn't touch big gooey baby handprints on the glass door or picture window unless you asked them specially. The never vacuumed behind the television table, which is a pretty open and easy space to get behind. When we complained about the quality, Peggy came out and cleaned the living room herself and I have to say, it wasn't much better at all. I think when the boss's idea of clean is swiffer-clean, you can't expect the employees to deliver much more. Also there's no way those ladies get paid anywhere close to $25 an hour. They were very nice, but some of them didn't seem to speak English at all and I'm not even sure they were legal. I need to fire them and get someone else in, but who has the time? I Hmm...now that I'm thinking about it, I have the time. Enough is enough!

Peggy, Home Tech's owner, is a true professional. She visited my home and did a complete, detailed walk through to generate her estimate. Her scheduler had us on the schedule within a day or two, and always calls one day in advance to remind me of the time the team will be onsite. And the team does a fabulous job -- extremely efficient. A team of three cleans my house in under 5 man-hours, which is about half the time it'd take me by myself. I find the price extremely reasonable for the high quality of work and exceptional service.

We have tried several housekeeping services and it seems to be difficult to find one who will show up when they say the will, respond to your calls, and keep appointments. Home Tek was outstanding in these areas. However whenever we used them they always seemed to get less cleaned than you would think they would be able to get done in the time they had. Usually two workers come out and work for half of the time that you have paid (fair enough). However they get less done than you would have had you worked alone the same number of hours that you had paid. Often we would get phone calls and emails while workers were at our house saying "the house needs a lot more attention than there is time to do, we will do what we can in the priority you gave us." The last time we used them we told paid them for 6 hours to clean the whole house. This time we got no calls saying that they were running out of time, but still the house was not as clean as we felt it should be. If you need someone reliable, I would recommend them, given the caveats above.

They are great. They have teams of people that come clean. They are always on time. They do a great job. They have nice scheduling ability. It averages around 350 depending on the square footage of the house. I would recommend them and use them again in the future.
