My regret on this project has absolutely nothing to do with Gina. I was extremely clear -- from day one -- regarding my budget. Nature Designs (who contracted with Gina) knew that I intended to complete the entire project with them. I never even considered doing the work in phases. Why we had this communication problem is still very puzzling to me.
Sadly, when Chris offered the final plans to me in mid-October, the only thing they could complete was the hardscape. The landscape & irrigation were offered -- as additional options -- and at a cost that would have added more than 35% to my original budget. So, I am going in a different direction.
I was glad to pay the fee for Gina's many visits, her hours of design work and many revisions. She had so many creative ideas for visual appeal -- as well as a thorough plan for drought-tolerant plants & trees. Her blueprints are fantastic. And she is a total JOY to work with!
