I had a 32 inch computer monitor that stopped working. I took it in, they diagnosed the problem within the day and quoted a fair price. The repair was fast, and the service was great. I highly recommend this business!

I brought in an Akea 27" 5 yr-old TV to Bachelorz's Electric (phone 503-775-9373). Owner took the back off to determine the problem. It was a failed power pack. The owner gave me a free estimate of $80 for the repair. It took about a week because he had to order the part. Owner called when TV was ready. I paid the agreed upon $80 and the TV works perfectly. This was a lot cheaper than a new TV. Be aware the owner takes only cash or checks. He does not take credit cards. Also, he does all the work himself. I liked the honest, straightforward transaction and would definitely recommend this business to others. Frankly, I didn't think anyone repaired TV's anymore. Thanks Angie!

It took about 10 days to fix because he had to order the part. He apologized for not having it done earlier but the first part that was sent to him was defective. I did see the TV working when it was in his shop. All of the good ratings on this site are correct. His estimate was right on and he even made it in the window of time he quoted to me. A great experience overall.

Brought in a mid-sized Toshiba LCD for an estimate, as it was the first place I found in the city that would do a free estimate. The TV would not turn on, simply giving me a flashing power light. He called back the next day with an estimate of $150 (cash/check only) for the repair. Said it would be about a week to get the part and do the work. The TV was done on time and on budget. He turned it on for me before I left the shop.

I dropped off a 42" Vizio plasma TV that would not power on. Got a call back with an estimate for $125 within a day. Picked it up 2 days later. Paid $125, just as quoted. TV has been working fine since then. I will definitely take my TV's back to Bachelorz in the future.

Perfectly. It was a throwback to a time when personal service meant something. Mr. Bach is the owner and sole operator of his business. He personally troubleshoots the problems and stays with it until it is fixed. At first, it appeared that I might need a new TV and then a new cable. That would have been an easy and final answer for many repair people as they collected their money. But Mr. Bach continued to work with what I had, re-wiring the system until I had a perfect TV and DVD picture and sound. He stayed considerably longer than anticipated but still charged the basic fee of $50. (I gave him a little more in appreciation.) He is also a gentleman.

I have a LCD flat screen TV and it wouldn't turn on. I took it into his shop and he called me the following day with an estimate. The TV was repaired within 2 days. The service was excellent. Being a female, I'm used to people trying to take advantage of me because I'm not knowledgeable about electronics. He's an honest, professional individual and I would highly recommend him to anyone. He knows his profession!

Our TV HD antenna broadcast mode ceased to operate (showed only a blue screen). We called Bachelorz's Electric after finding recommendations on Angie's list. By phone we described the problem and were told to bring it in. He told us that he probably would not get to look at it until the next day but that afternoon he called to say that there might be a faulty power source and that he would call in a couple of days with information. We called him first and he said that he was attempting to find a part. The next day he called to say that he was unable to find a part for our TV (Sceptre purchased at Costco). Apparently no one handles parts for this brand and repair would mean purchasing more than was needed to fix the TV. We told him that we did not want to put more into the TV repair than it was worth. He said that we could come and pick it up and that there was no charge since he could not repair it. The HDMI Mode continues to be operable however. He told us that we get what we pay for as far as a TV purchase is concerned. Lesson learned. It was an off brand that could be considered disposable!

remote did not work but everything else was fine on a good - but CRT - TV. I found this guy based on Angies and he was great. great guy, great service. I hate the consumer culture where if it's busted you toss it, so I was appreciative of a guy who could fix this fast and right

They were very good. They could not fix my T.V. but only because the manufacturer would not sell them the parts. He seemed very straightforward and honest and he was just very good. I would take a set back to him again. They found out that it needed some lamps. Unfortunately the company would not sell the parts to them. I didn't spend anything on it.

Do expect a real effort to help. He's not on top of phone calls, but who cares? I did wonder a little about the price, but on a very expensive TV it was a no-brainer.

I consulted Angie's List and read all the positive reviews about Bachelorz's. I called Bach and he agreed to come out on a Saturday to my home in the Camas/Washougal area (he lives in the Milwaukie area). He took great care in removing the electrical components from the television and carefully tested it. He found the blown circuit and took the motherboard to his shop to repair it. He returned in just a few hours having fixed the problem and he even reinforced other connections and circuits on the board. He reinstalled the board and made sure the TV was in fine working order. I found him to be a complete professional who exudes integrity. He charges a very fair price for his services and said that he can't in good conscience take advantage of people like others in his line of work do. This is a self made man who came to this country with nothing and took advantage of the opportunity through hard work and diligence. There is really no reason to look at any other repair service. Bach knows his trade. I should note that I hold any service provider to a high standard and he exceeded my expectations. I should have paid him more for the great customer service and honesty.

My rear-projection TV was started to display red and green shadows. Bach came over early Saturday morning and quickly diagnosed the problem. He took the troublesome part to his shop and returned on Monday with it fixed. He was really great to work with. He even fabricated a little piece that would keep the problem from happening again (condensation had dripped on the circuit board).

The owner makes house calls! He repaired a TV that we could not have repaired in major shops, they would have insisted on replacing parts that were repaired. When a problem reoccurred, he promptly returned and fixed it at no extra charge! Outstanding service!~

My experience was wonderful from start to finish. I called him Tuesday afternoon and he quoted $50 for a service call (which would be applied to the bill if he could fix the TV). He said he could come out Wednesday morning. I scheduled for Thursday morning. He said he would call before coming. He called at 8:15 and was here by 8:30. He called me at 2:47 the same day to say he had fixed the problem and could be at my house between 4:30-5:00 to reinstall. I rescheduled for Friday afternoon. He called me at 12:00 and was at my house within 10 minutes.

Our TV suddenly went completely whacko (see picture). After checking Angie's List, we called Bach. He showed up exactly when he said he would. When he arrived we weren't able to get any sort of video but did have audio. He pulled the back off the television and pulled out the entire board. Upon examination he was able to show us the green tube had leaked coolant on to the main board. Bach took the entire board back to his shop, cleaned the convergence board and fixed the connections that had been damaged. He didn't want any money until he was sure he could fix the problem. Two days later he delivered the board back, installed it, and realigned the picture. It looks as good as new. Even if it only lasts 2 more years, I expect the price of a replacement equivalent 52" will come down more than the repair costs. Hip hip hooray for Bach! Thank you! If you read this and hire Bach, I suggest you print all the wonderful reports that have been written about him and give them to him so he knows what we all think about his work!

Our TV was acting up, lines and skewed picture, after checking the list my husband called and found Bach to be very helpful and willing to come out and make a service call. Bach arrived and diagnosed the problem I offered to pay him the service call but he would not let me pay him until he had finished. As promised he returned with the repaired board and then he reset my programing. He is excellent, professional, and yet again Angie's was so right on... Hire him he is honest and more than worth his fee.

How often can you say "exceptional experience" about getting anything repaired? But that's what happened. Baz came to the house during a break in December's record breaking snowstorm to check our dead 42" plasma. Even though he doesn't normally do house calls, we were close and he thought it might be something he could handle on site. Turned out it wasn't that easy--so he took the TV back to his shop. I expected him to require an upfront deposit (since so many people do--but he laughed and told me to wait until he knew what the problem was, when there would be plenty of time to pay.) He called a day later to confirm that it was the power supply as he'd suspected. Quoted me $275 (including parts, labor and the house call). The weather slowed down delivery of the part--but, five days later the TV was working fine--just in time for all the Bowl games and avoiding a major emergency for the guys in the house.

Service was prompt and courteous. If we have any further problems with our TVs, we'll call again on Bachelorz's, without any hesitation. It helps that this shop is only 2.3 miles from our home.

I called Bach and he was able to come out the next morning. He took a part out of the back of my TV. He called that evening to say he had the part repaired and would be back the next morning. The next morning my TV was up and running. He also did some programming and adjusting for me. TV is looking great and the process was completely smooth.

I telephoned Bachelorz's after seeing their grade on Angie's. I spoke with Bach, the owner, about the symptoms I was having with my TV. He showed up on time, and told me that it would be between $200 and $250 to complete the repair. He returned a day later, again on time, finished the repair, and then cleaned the projection lenses. I was very pleased with his work and enjoyed how pleasant he was to have in my home.
