Angel Dusts

Angel and Kody are awesome. We have been using them for years. They are friendly and professional and do a great job on our house. They even fold laundry!!

I believe my poor experience with Angie's service is based on mismanaged expectations and her handling of them. I know not every job goes well, but the key is how you handle the unhappy customer. I've hired a cleaning crew only a few times in my life and never for spring cleaning, so had to rely on the professional I called to handle it correctly. When I called Angie, she answered promptly, asked me several questions and bid the job on the phone. She showed up as scheduled with her crew of three people. Did her walk through and got started, but I sensed off the bat she was agitated. A couple of hours later, while I was running errands, she called my cell to tell me it was going to take longer to finish the job completely and an additional $175. I'm in the service industry. If I bid a job incorrectly, I take a bath. It's not the client's fault. But I told Angie I would go $50 more and agree to cut out some of the cleaning, specifying those deleted areas. I came back and left a check before having to leave again. When I got home later, the crew was gone. I noticed areas that were supposed to be in the "included" list had not been cleaned, in particular, not dusted. There was no note. I called her. Over the phone, she went on and on about how mad at herself she was for not doing a walk through before bidding the job, how frustrated and upset she was that she didn't have the time to really get everything they would normally do, how looong she spent on my shower, how I live with three males and a dog and there were hand prints on walls, etc., she couldn't get to. She was emotional and there were times I felt somewhat insulted. Yes, my house needed cleaning-- that's why one hires a cleaning service. I just wanted the work finished and wished to schedule another time at an agreed-upon price to complete the deep clean. She said she'd call back. Then, after I hung up, I noticed dust remaining on the wood-blind slats and on furniture and lint on area rug-- all areas that were not in the "deleted" rooms. Called back and left a message that I wasn't satisfied and felt follow-up was in order. As a business owner, I would think she would at least want to know what her employees are not doing well for her. But, Angela never called me back. I feel like I paid $500 for a super clean master bath, mostly clean blinds, a nicely cleaned kitchen, & a halfway cleaning of other areas. Angie herself is a cleaning whiz. However, she bid my job incorrectly, asked for more money, was borderline insulting, didn't finish what we'd agreed upon because she had another house to get to-- and then did not follow up with me. I wish I'd been home when they left and had not left payment before checking the work. Still, I wouldn't be writing this report if she had simply been professional, called me back, followed-up to see what was missed that I was under the impression would be done for that $500 (originally $450) and come to an agreement with me.
