Great- Really nice guys. Worked quickly and explained everything they saw and made good suggestions.

Great. Pleasant, punctual, clean. Gave good advice regarding maintenance and was upfront that every 2-3 years for our system was sufficient.

They did a really good job. Very good. We called them one day, the next day they were here. They do a good job. We were happy with the price. Chris is the one who comes out. Very nice, and professional, or it was Eddie that came out. Very good job. We have a laundry room. Pulled the dryer out. Cleaned around it. We have a long hose that goes under the house. Did a great job, and put everything back. Called one day, and here the next. The work took about an hour. I don't remember for sure, and don't time people. There was two people. Cleaned it all up, very nice. The job he did, nice, professional job. Very nice man.

I highly recommend American Power Vac. They are a small family owned business who offers excellent, honest service at a great price. Eddie and Brandon arrived on time and were professional, courteous, and friendly. The work was completed within the timeframe they gave me. Eddie is a great guy and very honest. Many companies try to sell you all kinds of additional services but Eddie doesn't recommend a procedure if it's not needed. I asked if I needed my furnace cleaning and he said no it was fine. I asked if I needed my dryer vent cleaning and he said it wasn't worth the cost of the cleaning as I could get a replacement vent for cheaper. I completely trust him.

Great job all around- easy to contact and schedule, confirmed the appt - Eddie was super nice and knowledegable. Showed up on time, explained exactly what they would be doing, showed us some problem areas and how to best handle that. Also took the time to have us take a look at what he was seeing coming out of the vents. Great job and will use again and can recommend without hesitation.

Extremely well. As we have two little dogs (20 pounds each) these spoiled canines generate 90% of the dirt, dust and hair accumulating everywhere in the home. Owning a 1931 English Tudor contributes to the problem. Of course all this enters the system. Despite changing the expensive Filtrete 2" thick monthly during the fall, winter, spring and often early summer once a month the system ductwork still gets dirty. It is imperative to hire a firm that does a excellent job as ductwork can and does grow colonies of mold, mildew, mites, viruses and bacteria. That is why I hire AMERICAN POWER VAC to do the job. I have inspected their work after both occasions and i assure you that they really do a great job. I did my research on the firm prior to using the the first time. Their reputation precedes them and the A+ recommendations are truly warranted. I can say that I have the cleanest ducts on the block if not in the neighborhood.

Eddie was terrific.

It went excellent. The price was reasonable. They showed up and did an excellent job. I am very pleased with it.

A top class service. Unlike some providers that vacuum ducting as a sideline, this company specialize in doing the job thoroughly, properly and professionally. They may cost a little bit more, but the investment is well worth it considering how infrequently you would normally do this.

Eddie arrived on time and was very professional. He walked through the house and explained what his process. The vents look fantastic....even better then we expected. We will defiantly hire them in the future.

Showed up promptly at 0800 and went to work immediately.  Spent about 3 hours vacuuming out dust and debris from at least six years accumulation, including duct insulation that was saturated.  Showed me what was coming out and explained the steps he was taking.  Kept us up to date as to where they were in the process.  FOUND AND INFORMED ME OF A POSSIBLE GAS LEAK IN THE HOUSE!  We had the gas company come out and they replaced a connector that was loose.  
Friendly, professional and reasonable: can't ask for more than that.  He even petted our cat.

Did the real work ! We have heard from friends who had a poor job done by another service. Our job was done completely.

The men were very thorough, and careful in how they handled everything. I was especially impressed when the crew leader took me down into the basement and showed me how there was a duct that had obviously never been cleaned before: when he cut an access panel into that duct I could see that there was about four inches of dust and trash in that horizontal duct!  He also repaired some ducting that developed an opening into the basement.  They did a good job of returning back to normal before they left.  I would employ them again.

It takes a long time.  Longer than I expected given how long getting it done at my previous house(different provider) had taken.  They did every vent, vacuumed one direction and then the other and cleaned all the dust.  I have allergies and ever since we moved to our new house they have been AWFUL.  Ive been taking double meds and it was still bad.  I was desperate obviously I cant keep just taking more meds.  Anyway, I told him that Id been sick with allergies and he was really diligent.  They have been so much better since the service.
Also, the duct work had been coming apart in my attic (where the heater is) and he taped that back up, and let me know about a leak in the AC I wasn't aware of.
They did terrific work and were fun to spend time with, which is good considering how much bonding time we had.  :)  I'm serious about that by the way, I have a small dog who is very friendly but bark a lot.  And the guys went out of their way to introduce themselves to her and do their best to keep her calm.

I spoke to a couple of duct cleaning operations, and I was most impressed with the owner of this company, Eddie. He arrived on time with another individual, and they went right to work in a very professional manner.  The cost of the cleaning is based on the number of events that you have in the house.  They have a very powerful reverse pressure vacuum truck that connects to your furnace the sweep out all the air particles that they shake loose with an air hose as they go through each duct individually. 
Eddie kept me appraised of various things they were doing, while they went through the cleaning process, which took about five hours.  They did a great job, and I would definitely use them again.

Eddie came highly recommended by The Duct Guys, who are not licensed in Washington. When I called to schedule an appt. I spoke directly with Eddie, who explained what he does, how long it takes, and what it would cost. Rate is based on number of vents in the home plus a base rate. I scheduled an appointment with his office and they were booked out 6-8 weeks, which was OK with me. Mine was not  an emergency situation. On the appointed day, Eddie called to tell me he was about half an hour out, which put him right at the top of the 2-hour window for anticipated arrival time. He walked through the house, was very communicative about what he would be doing, how long it would take, and what it would cost. He made some repairs to my dryer vent ducting,which had been improperly installed when I purchased it. He had some excellent advice about how to get the best performance out of my heating system, given its configuration. I received a 10% Angie's List discount.
Eddie and Aaron were knowledgeable, diligent, careful, hard-working, efficient, friendly, courteous, honest and, above all, professional. You couldn't ask for more.

We scheduled the work and he and his assistant arrived on time.  The job took about four hours.  We were working at home, and it was a little noisy but not too intrusive. They did a very thorough job.  Eddie explained what he was doing as he went along and gave us an idea of how much longer they would be.  He told us a little about how our ducts were connected.  He also made some recommendations for a better filter on our furnace.  We were very pleased with the work and will definitely use him again.

I searched Angie's List for a Vent Cleaning Service.  I called American Power Vac and one other business, which had "A" ratings.
While the other company's bid was slightly cheaper, I hired American Power Vac. I talked directly with Eddie Nickens (owner) and had a good feeling about doing business with him.  Eddie has over 20 years of experience in the business,  is very honest, thorough, professional.  In addition, Eddie offers valuable product and service suggestions to get the most from your furnace and clothes dryer.  Eddie found a couple of things that he fixed without extra charge and suggested a good yet inexpensive standard filter that can be purchased at our local home improvement store.  Eddie suggested that if I wanted to go to the store and purchase the filters; he would install them before leaving.   
If you are interested in increasing the efficiency of your furnace and clothes dryer, and want someone very professional and honest I highly recommend American Power Vac and Eddie Nickens.  I know that we will definitely hire him again.

It went great. Because of the breathing problems we had before that, I felt silly I had not done it before. We will be doing it more regularly now. They were very polite and nice. They did an excellent job.
