Concrete Repair
Contacted Sam based on a listing. Got a quote for the repair work (one of two quotes) and accepted his quote. Work performed Sept 7 to 12. Some confusion with city inspector but that was ironed out and the end product was satisfactory. Paid Sam an up front partial payment to cover concrete cost and the balance after the form work had been removed and the area cleaned up. All is fine to now. Then a week later the concrete company, contacted me as the home owner to pay for the concrete they had delivered. The check Sam had written to them was on a closed account and bounced. His phone has been disconnected the other company nor I can get a hold of Sam and I must pay for the concrete as the owner, add $180 to the cost.
