"This homeowner was kind and very patient. I did raise the cost due to needing a helper, but I also gave the Home Owner the option of finding another painter. This was early in the season and the Home Owner had plenty of time to renegotiate and get the home painted by someone else. I had planned to paint it myself until I realized I would need a safety man (helper). The Home Owner's "surprise" was the Initial request to charge more (I rarely do this and have only done it 2 times in my whole painting career of 10 yrs). Next time, I'll just buck up and eat the costs.... Lesson learned."

"It's not often I get to paint a house all one color. This home was a Victorian style home and all one color made the job so much more inexpensive and easier to do. I never met the Home Owner until 2009 when I bid the interior of this home, so there is a lot of weight to the report about email and phone conversations. "THIS MEMBER WAS A GREAT JOY TO DO BUSINESS WITH. I WASN'T SURE HOW SHE WAS GOING TO HANDLE THE "EXTRA" ISSUES CONSIDERING THEY WERE A SIGNIFICANT COST ABOVE THE PAINTING PROJECT. SHE DID, AND WE WENT TO WORK! WE REPLACED UP TO 10 FULL SHEETS OF T-111 AND A 20' FASCIA BOARD ON ONE SIDE OF THE HOME. WITHOUT MY PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN FRAMING HOMES, I AM NOT SURE WE WOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO HELP, BUT WE DID AND IT WAS A LOT OF FUN. IT'S NOT OFTEN WE GET THE OFFER OF REPLACING SIDING. ON TOP OF THAT STYLE OF FUN, WE ALSO ENJOYED THE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES SHE MADE US. YUMM! SHE ACTUALLY MADE 2 STANDARD ZIP LOCK BAGS FULL AND TOLD US TO TAKE THEM HOME. WHAT A TREAT! GRANTED, WE LOVE OUR WORK AND DO WELL AT IT, BUT THERE ARE JUST TIMES WHEN IT SEEMS LIKE THE SAME OL' GRIND DAY IN AND DAY OUT, BUT WHEN A HOME OWNER GOES OUT OF THEIR WAY TO BLESS YOU WHILE YOUR THERE WORKING ON THEIR HOME, THAT MAKES IT ALL THE MORE ENJOYABLE AND WORTH WHILE TO KEEP GOING. IF I COULD GIVE HOME OWNERS A PAGE OF HAPPINESS, I WOULD HAVE INCLUDED THIS MEMBER AND A FEW OTHERS I HAVE DONE BUSINESS WITH. THANK YOU!"

"I LOVED THE COLOR CHANGE THESE FOLKS CHOSE. IT SEEMED RATHER PATRIOTIC BUT WHAT WAS NEAT WAS THE CHANGE FROM THE OLD COLOR TO THE NEW.
