Action Auto Glass

Took a while because my claim was initially for windshield replacement, but had to be changed to comprehensive due to scratch on the top of the car that needed to be repaired before windshield could be replaced. Nevertheless the quality of work was top-notch and I really appreciate the craftsmanship.

This review goes in two parts - It starts with good customer orientation. I called Action Auto Glass after getting their phone from my Subaru dealership. Due to personal reasons i had the repair to take place on the day I called - Talked to a guy named Jimmy (Owner?) and like he promised, although later then original time we closed (5 PM instead of 1-3 PM), two young and polite guys came to my home and replaced the broken windshield. I paid my $100 co-payment and thought this is it... The problem started 3-4 days later. I discovered that the water sprayers are not working. I called and talked with Jimmy again. Two guys came to my work parking lot to fix what they assumed would be a simple connection of the hose. However - We discovered that due to the fact that it was not installed on the first time, the hose got tangled in the wiper engine/mechanism and got torn. Replacement parts should not be a big deal, maybe $20-30. I had called Jimmy again, this time he was not available. Left a message. No one got back. Called the next day – This time Jimmy was not so polite and instead of apologize he said that he will call me once the “parts” (i.e. rubber hose and plastic connector which are standards parts for all new Subaru models) arrives. Well – I’m now 4 days after this and still waiting to Jimmy to call. Reason I give action Glass such low score – A company need to be measured when things are going wrong, not only when things are smooth and customers/insurance paying good $$$$. Will keep you updated 

I was given a reference to Action Auto Glass by KuniLexus of Portland as they supposedly install all auto glass in Lexus vehicles. So I figured they must be a quality vendor and I would have no worries. WRONG!!!
 First, the appointment for installing the windshield in my 2009 Lexus ES350 was to take place around 11:00AM on a Wednesday which was a work day for me. I had left cell phone contact information with Action Auto Glass so that they could contact me if the appointment was going to be delayed or cancelled. I came home and waited and waited and waited until around 12:45PM when they finally showed up. Two young men stated that they had called my phone but no one had answered and why? Because they had called my desk number instead of my cell phone. I had also called their office during this waiting period and was told that the glass installers were on their way  (12:00PM) and should be arriving shortly. The message that was left on my desk phone at 11:15AM stated they would be at my house in 45 minutes which would have been around 12:00PM, not 1:45PM.
Anyway these two glass installers went to work and soon had my new windshield installed. During the initial installation, I noticed that they had to remove a large rubber seal on the top edge of each fender and this rubber seal extended down to the headlight housings. They said it was part of the glass installation process so I went back into the house and waited for them to complete the work. 
About 45 or so minutes later, the windshield was installed and they told me the usual do's and dont's when a new windshield has been installed. 
Some weeks later, I noticed moisture inside my drivers side head light light housing which was not present before. I had purchased this car in October of 2014 and had been in numerous rain events and gone through numerous car washes and not once did I ever have a buildup of moisture inside my head light housing until now.   I had written Action Auto Glass an email regarding this moisture problem but getting no response, I decided to call their main office. When I called Action Auto Glass regarding this problem , they said "changing the windshield glass wouldn't cause this problem". They said bring it in but they did not seem real interested in talking to me or looking at the problem. The cost of installing new head light housings in this vehicle are around $700.00 per housing.

Super friendly, and very quick to schedule and perform the chip repair on my windshield. Will definitely use when I need a new windshield installed.

Action Auto Glass was recommended by the car dealer. They were also on my insurance company's preferred provider list. They were easy to work with. It took two days to schedule service because I requested factory glass (that needed to be ordered) and requested mobile service. The technician was on time and called when he was on the way. The service only took about a half hour. He was professional and friendly. My glass coverage covered the whole thing, so I can't comment on price - I didn't price any other providers.

Action Auto Glass was recommended by both the Volvo and Lexus dealers, and they exceeded my expectations. They explained everything they needed to do and did the job in the time they promised for the price they quoted. The new windshield really helps us drive more safely and their work was top notch.
Three years ago I had an insurance provider replace the Lexus windshield and had problems with it. I am very glad I declined using them this time and took the option of using Action Auto Glass. I'll definitely use Action Auto Glass again in the future.

Great! I called this morning to have the rear glass replaced (it was broken by a landscaper next door by accident) on our GMC cargo van. They were easy to work with, scheduled me for an appointment three hours later and the replacement was completed quickly and cleanly. I will be calling them back for windshield replacements for a few other company vehicles.

I guessed wrong on the tint (bronze or blue) so they had to come back with the right windshield the following days. They were very nice about it and very professional. Great job.

I called Lexus to ask them who they use for windshield work and they gave me this companys name. I looked them up on Angies List before I called. I had a choice for them to come to my home or I could go to them. I chose for them to come to me. They were right on time, finished the work in the time estimated and left no mess.

Very smoothly. I paid my deductible (the amount above was for the total repair). Action Auto Glass coordinated easily with my insurance company. They got me in right away (I wanted the windshield replaced the next day, although they could have done it same day). The repair was done on time and very cleanly.

It went great. They were very attentive. I have recommended them to other people and will use them again in the future. When I called to make an appointment, they were quick to call me back.

Fast and friendly. They were recommended by the dealer (based on a prior experience, I do not recommend going with your insurance co recs). They answered questions by phone. For the repair, I just drove up at a time that was convenient for me. They made the repair on the spot. It was free.
