The whole job went well. We green-lighted a general tidying of the rat’s nest of old pipes clustered about the old heater. “C” grade on price mostly reflects our ignorance of the market. We figure the price is reasonable for the quality of the work and American-made appliance. If this new water heater ever dies, we’ll certainly call Ackerman again for our next one.

Ackerman scheduled promptly, had someone investigate the source of the leak (found the rot). They replaced the pipe, suspending it from the top of the crawl space so it won't rot again. They investigated the 5 other crawl spaces on the property to verify it wasn't happening elsewhere, and put down bags of lime to deal with the kitchen waste / smell. They called to report in before starting work, and when work was complete, and were prompt about billing. Five stars, and the only plumber I'll call now, as their receptionists are very helpful and prompt.

Every thing went as planned. They were in and out in a timely manner, and cleaned up after themselves. Arrived on time and were very professional.

They came right away. They were very busy and they came. We have an ongoing relationship with them. We just use them. It's always expensive. Plumbers charge a lot. They were really busy and they came. They clean up after themselves and everything. It's great. Now, they're really good and they know how to do older plumbing which is a real plus. Normally I have the same person but not always. This time I didn't. Like I said they were really busy and so they had to send a couple different people.

Ackerman beat out three vendors for the job, just by having a responsive receptionist with prompt scheduling. They scheduled the repair within a week. I actually forgot he was coming that day, but the plumber came on site, called me before the job started to ask a couple questions / make sure I knew what was happening, and followed up end of day with the final result. Billing was as projected, and invoicing was timely. I will *definitely* be calling Ackerman for anything plumbing related in the future, for our HOA. If there is a slight difference in cost (which I'm not sure there is), it's well worth it for responsive call backs / scheduling, service calls that happen when scheduled, and good communication throughout.

I called them at 10:30am and my house was fixed by 3:30pm that same day. Granted, he said he had a cancellation and that it just worked out, but it was still amazing to me! He was in and out in less than 40 minutes. Honestly, I assumed I'd be without a kitchen sink/dish washer for awhile. I already bought compostable plates, bowls and silverware. The work looks great and it doesn't leak! Their work is guaranteed for a year too, so if I do notice that the leak comes back then I can call him back!

Very personable, easy to talk to and doesn't talk down to women. He is pretty quick. His prices are reasonable.

I can't say enough about Ackerman Plumbing, and especially Tim. The company was very responsive from my first call to the end of the job. We ran into some problems along the way, but Tim was very good at explaining what needed to be done, and at coming up with solutions that would would not add on to the cost. I am very pleased with the finished projects. Tim did a great job (it even came in under bid), and he was a joy to work with. He is not only professional and courteous, but also experienced and skilled at his trade. I highly recommend Ackerman Plumbing.

Once we detected the source of a mysterious leak, Steve and Tim came right out to fix it - very quickly, so we didn't have to go without water in the kitchen for more than two days.  A leak detection company had found the leak in the ceiling above the kitchen/below an upstairs bath vanity.  He enlarged the hole in the ceiling no more than necessary, but out the offending PVC pipe and valve, and replaced it with PEX.  He did a great job very quickly, restoring water to the kitchen, with minimal bother.

The new fixtures are beautiful and everything is working perfectly.

Professional, friendly, organized, knowledgeable, prompt, both over the phone and in-person.
The plumber who arrived discovered a hidden, and challenging, issue with our plumbing system. His experience, knowledge, and care for his customers showed through in his determination (and success!) in finding a creative, inexpensive, and effective solution to our unique problem.  He went above and beyond to save us money and to ensure it was a permanent, air-tight solution. 
Additionally, we really appreciated his frequent check-ins in regards to both scheduling, and our options and decisions about our plumbing system. 
"Exceeded expectations" doesn't begin to describe my fantastic experience.

Tim came out and solved several problems with faucets and a toilet. Nice guy. All went well.

• We called on Monday, and on Tuesday Tim Platt arrived at 9 AM!!!  After checking the leak source in the basement, Tim determined that the wax ring was probably the culprit.

He pulled the toilet after 'vacuuming' out all the standing water and replaced the wax ring and replaced the old "rusted" bolts and caps.  He suggested replacing the original fill valve and supply line so everything would be new and serviceable for many years to come.

I used Ackerman Plumbing to replace a shower head/control and two sinks/faucets/toilets in my bathrooms and was extremely happy with the job that was performed.
I have a 1900s house with a number of non-standard plumbing arrangements which made this project tricky but Ackerman handled it without a problem. They made useful suggestions for overcoming the hook-up issues, were very helpful in making sure that I was selecting the correct parts and executed the installations professionally. They were always prompt, courteous and honest. Finally, their attention to aesthetic detail was exceptional - I am very particular about things being centered, squared and even and they got it right the first time in most cases or quickly made adjustments when requested.
As for pricing, they were extremely reasonable on the fixtures (often coming in under the Ferguson retail prices even though they offered warranty coverage above and beyond the manufacturer's) and service charges were competitive with other plumbing services.
I will definitely use Ackerman again in the future and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

Tim arrived and quickly found the source of the problem.  He estimated and I approved the cost.  Actual work was less than the estimate.  I was very pleased with the work and recommend Tim.

Both of the Steven's (father/son pair I believe) are extremely knowledge and helpful.  We had a hard time finding someone who could service our manafold water system and they were quick to research and find a solution/suitable replacement.  Ackerman is not cheap but they are fair and worth every penny.  They fix the problem the right way, the first time which is wonderful. We are moving out of their service area and are lamenting we can't bring them with us to help with our new home.

They were responded in a timely manner and cheerfully worked on these things even though access is limited.  They probably did a better job than was done when we had these items installed during our remodel two years previously.   They are now on our go-to list.

The plumber arrived at pre-arranged time and replaced the non-functional faucets. I have used this plumbing service before and will use again if the need arises. Plumbing issues are never cheap and always run higher than anticipated.
