These guys are incredible. Two other contractors tried and failed to repair the leaks in the foundation. Greg with Ability Plus was the first contractor that actually understood w** was going on with our drainage and the right way to fix it. They hand dug the trench around the exterior 7 ft deep. The crew was great, put tarps down to pile the dirt, and when they cleaned up, well it was clean.

Konnor came out to go through the crawlspace and then prepared the estimate. Very smooth process. The original estimate included a french drain and a sump pump. I suggested we hold off on the french drain to see if the sump pump would be enough. The work was done in a timely manner and the crew was friendly and professional. Follow-up was great. A year after the work was done I contacted the company and asked if they would do a walk-through to confirm that all was working well and to confirm that a french drain wasn't needed. Konnor came out within a week and did an inspection at no charge. This impressed me. I would hire them again and recommend them to anyone who needed this type of work done.

Ability Plus Drainage listened to the problem I described and the end result I wanted (others didn't). Their proposed solution made sense (others didn't) and they walked me through it all and answered all questions. They did point out that part of what I wanted done was "belt and suspenders" (which I knew, but was willing to pay for as it was not the bulk of the work and was relatively cheap insurance). They showed up promptly every day they were scheduled, worked hard all week, and best of all, I can now report that our basement appears to finally be dry. Work performed: * They dug out a trench along the problem area of our foundation, down past the cold joint. A new French drain was installed below the level of the cold joint. * They painted waterproofing onto the foundation wall (this was the overkill part, but it was a minor portion of the overall cost since the foundation wall was exposed anyway, so it was worth it to me). * They installed Aquaboard against the foundation wall. * They created a swale for diverting surface water and a vertical connection to the French drain.

Ability put in a new drainage line along the side of the house, digging down to the base of the foundation, which was a ton of work. They ran pipe out to a spot in the yard for the water to drain to, and they connected the downspouts to the new pipes (The old drain pipes had failed.) They put in a moisture barrier up against the house and sealed the crack. They did this work in very rainy conditions, moving a lot of dirt in the process, but they cleaned up very carefully. For the amount of work that they did the price seemed reasonable. It's been ten months since the work, and it seems to be working as intended.

Other companies will try to sell you $10,000 solutions to seal your crawlspace and install sump pumps and dehumidifiers. These guys don't give you a huge salespitch. But the owner came out and saw that we had an interior low point drain the trenching could be connected to. He's the only one that offered that solution, so I have to give him points for that. I worked up the courage to go down there and investigate a few months later, and the ground was very hard and dry, even where there used to be standing water. I did have to call them back to repair the foundation vent though, which they did promptly without a hassel.

Ability Drainage has proved to be reliable, fairly priced and providers of excellent work to our home since 2015 when they were called in to estimate the work that needed to be done in our crawl space. Every time they have come the work is done on time and on budget, and as for the outdoor work - attractively installed as well. Best of all - in April 2017 I asked them to come back to inspect our crawl space as there had been so much rain. Konnor did a thorough inspection, also went outside and made a recommendation to upgrade our gutters (which is not work we would have them do) - and best of all - NO CHARGE for the inspection! I thought that as I called them to come in there would be a charge - but no. I'm totally impressed and will continue to use them and recommend them.

Greg oversaw the work which was only satisfactory. The seams between vapor sheets and the edges where they met the deck support footings were sloppily placed with many gaps, and wrinkles. Deck planks replaced with screws missing the target joists. Poor attention to detail and aesthetically wanting. I pointed these out to Greg who has not yet remedied the discrepancies lingering now for over 3 months. He never initiated any communication; always had to be called. Despite asking for warranty information none was provided.

Home inspection found seasonal water in crawl space. Konnor got us on his schedule before our closing date. His crew was very professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and kept our home neat clean (inside & out). They informed of progress and kept on schedule. This is a top notch company and even got a good review from a competitor.

We had a challenging project--Greg worked hard and got it right. He put french drains on two sides of the house, and came up with an innovative solution to a persistent drip in one corner. I appreciate the responsiveness and the quality of the work, and highly recommend. Cost was appropriate for the work done.

Greg was prompt for the inspection/assessment and quickly and professionally what the problem was (which was considerably less and offered a 2/3 less expensive solution than an alternative, well-known company who'd already been out to give a bid) and how best to permanently fix it. His crew showed up on time and worked quickly to excavate an area near the cracked foundation and created a french drain away from the problem area. They also sealed up a separate cracked area which was responsible for a separate leak. The crew worked quickly in a few days and put the grass and landscaping back to normal before leaving.

Greg and his team are awesome. Called him up. Told him the problem. He not only looked at the current issue, but what could cause potential problems in the future. He called before coming over and let us know his guys were there to do the work so we were not surprised.
His team fixed the issue and we are very very satisfied not only with the current work, but what he did for us in the past.
He followed through on his warranty and went above and beyond the warranty to make sure everything was perfect.
I highly recommend Greg and his team. Great follow through and went above and beyond.
In a state that gets a lot of rain it is nice to be able to count on people who will do the job to the end.

I was amazed at how hard the workers worked. They did it in 5 working days. Cleaned up afterwards. They hand dug a 4' trench around the house. This was done over a month ago and even though its June we have had some hard rains. No water at all under the house. I  am totally happy and would hire them again in a heartbeat.

The crew showed up promptly at 8 AM and started working almost immediately after we did a walk-through. All excavating was done by hand. All soiled dug up was placed on tarp and put back into place. They encountered several obstacles (tree roots, walkways, that they successfully navigated around. It took them a day and half to complete the work before a separate gutter subcontractor came in to complete the work on downspouts. When all trenching was complete, they covered with new top soil which look nice. It took about a day for the gutter work to be completed. In general, both teams, drainage and gutters did a great job and we are very pleased with the end product. In the planning stage, Greg was very helpful in making suggestions about solutions as was Rod the gutter expert.

Unfortunately we had the same experience as others have with Greg. We didn't hear back from him. We had sent in the $300 for the work his crew did and still didn't hear anything. Over the next several weeks we emailed and called and got no response. When I voiced my frustration of not getting a response to the person answering the phones in the office, I was given Greg's cell number and I left a message. Greg finally called us back the next day. He did tell us what was going on with our drains, but we have decided to not have him complete the job. We will look for another company that is more reliable to work with.

We’ve had seepage in our basement for years, which resulted in a musty smell and dry rot. Last winter the heavy rains and runoff from the snow caused a flood in the basement, ruining carpet and drywall. After talking to a number of people from other companies, all of whom said we needed to spend many thousands of dollars on a drainage system, we spoke to Greg from Ability Plus. While he agreed that the ‘final solution’ would be to improve our outside drainage, he also said that a sump pump would resolve our seepage issue. That was a solution we could afford.
His people showed up on time and performed the work in less than one day. They dug a hole in the foundation, installed the pump, and ran the drain pipe outside through the foundation wall, hooking it into our rain gutter system. They finished the inside with a cover and concrete that blended well with the floor. We were impressed with their efficient use of time, their cleanliness, and the finish work. His men were friendly and took care to disturb us as little as possible.
In the month and a half since installation, not a bit of moisture has leaked into the basement. The areas that were perpetually damp last year are dry. The smell is gone, and we’re ready to install a new wall in the basement.
We’re happy with the work Ability Plus did for us and would recommend them to anyone who has problems like ours.
